I reserved an EV for a work trip to Winnipeg. Upon arrival, I was surprised with the "manager's special", which was a very large pickup truck. I laughed and asked why Hertz found it appropriate to rent a large pickup truck to me when I had specifically asked for a small EV..I had a look at the large pickup truck and determined that I would not be comfortable with it and asked to have my preferred vehicle rented instead, or something equivalent. I was given a Toyota Corolla as an "upgrade", with an extra fee for the pleasure of not renting the "manager special".Thanks. One star.

Reservations mean nothing to hertz, when I arrived at the Winnipeg airport hertz I was informed that despite having a reservation they didn’t have any cars for me. I was forced to wait for hours for someone else to return a car in order for me to get one. This obviously had a very negative affect on my trip and messed up all of my plans. Hertz, if someone has reserved a car DON’T rent it out to someone else.

Took 40 minutes to get counter service even though there was one 2 customers ahead of me. Only one of the two fobs worked.Kim - Much thanks for your prompt reply. I've been a Hertz customer for more than 15 years. But based on reviews dating back two years, It seems that the Winnipeg Airport location has had problems with slow service for a long time. If you are "always striving to improve", you have made little or no progress for years and offered no specific solutions to providing better service. Understandable as you have not even recognized there is a problem to solve. If you are sincere and honest, please acknowledge or dispute the problem. If you acknowledge there is a problem, please provide some tangible steps you are taking to fix the problem and respect that your customers also "strive to" pay you and respect your services.

Winnipeg Hertz/dollar had the wrong agreed price. When I tried to correct the price they did not change it. They played along until I returned the car then said they could not change it. Stay far away. They significantly overcharged me. They were slow and obviously unresponsive..

Long line and an unfriendly agent. No Presidents circle, and they weren’t using the gold members line. The only reason I rent Hertz is because of my status with them, and they weren’t respecting that so I left for a friendlier green counter with no line.

This location is not recommended, went on a music tour and rented from this place (June 22/2023. After returning the vehicle they took 5 days to return the deposit when they said it would take from 24 to 48 hours. To my surprise they claim the car I had returned had a crack on the windshield and went a charged me $1,099 CAD. There was no crack in the windshield as they said, pretty dissapointing. We have requested pictures to see where the freaking crack is but they haven’t sent anything up until this day, but for charging you they won’t hesitate

I had rented a car, but my license expired during the term of the rental so they were not able to give me the car. The staff at Hertz YWG were professional, empathetic and very helpful as they gave me advice on how to solve the problem. Even the support person at Hertz gave me a refund on the rental despite the fact that it was my mistake. This is the best kind of customer service experience to have and it is very rare. Thanks to the staff at Hertz YWG and the company in general for offering me the refund.

Do not go here! They charged my Ukrainian friends a few days later a second time for days that they did not use the vehicle at all. They had to change their accounts and everything. Now their bank is investigating why the charge was made and where the money went. It seems from the lower star reviews this company is trash and the people are awful scam artists. Immigrants beware of this company.

I rented car from hertz today May 8th at 9:32 and I was helped by front desk person- Ashif, who was extremely rude, he said I did not know my last name, he rolled his eyes, and closed his eyes with the frustration and anger 3 times.Hope employee gets better training on how to deal with the customers.

Worst service ever.Due to an accident, I called Emergency road service but could not get through for nearly two hours.In addition, I had Zero Deductible insurance, but I was charged a towing fee even though I requested a towing service at Emergency road service. It was close to $650.After that, I contacted customer service to confirm the charge, but they weren't willing to listen to me at all, and even when I contacted them, there was no response.I have rented a car in many countries around the world, but this is the first time I have received such a terrible response.

We had an accident, get insurance, we were in and out of Hertz so quickly, with a new vehicle, we didn’t miss a thing during our trip.

Good service provided by a gentleman Karan and an another guy who was wearing turban and name starting with J. Good advice and okayish rates and I was given a pickup truck as a manager’s special vehicle for a decent price. All in all fluent communication and good customer service

Hertz pointed out dents while in a dark poorly lit underground parking. Asked how it was possible they can see the dents in the dark, and for a dirty car so I got one of them to look again they declared it a scratch. I showed them the docs that it was marked already in the form they gave me and they didnt want to believe it. Wasted an hr going back and forth. Never renting here again.

I Left a brand new watch today morning in the rental when I dropped it off. I call back 2 hours later to find out only the box was found. WATCH OUT AND BE CAREFUL WITH THIS RENTAL COMPANY
