The staff is very nice, knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with kids' questions. Tours are incredibly informative and very satisfying, covering the history of St. Boniface and Winnipeg, with details about the original inhabitants and the formation of Manitoba. The tour makes all the difference. The museum also offers family-friendly events, enhanced summer programs, and a charming little gift shop called the Belle Boutique Blanche with great snacks. Some visitors note it can be a little bit hard to find, advising to look for the large sign. On-street parking is available nearby. It is a must-visit for anyone into local history and how it formed the modern era. The museum is a cool place, and visitors are glad to see such an old building maintained and open to anyone.

Definitely a treasure trove of info about life before Canada was even a country of its own.Shows excellent artifacts and examples of how life was during the times prior to electricity.The Metis displays were very detailed and help visitors get a picture of how Manitoba was at the time it became a province of Canada.
