“I happen to be waiting for a family member in the Mall, and popped into this establishment to inquire about an Otterbox. I was offered a good discount for a new product.
Then, I asked about a boot-loop problem with an old, but pristine, smartphone. Not only did John offer to look at for free, John even opened it up (super quick) and tested it with a new battery.
Alas, the boot-loop did not go away (this was after iPhone restore at Apple Store)... so it was nice to finally know it is a true hardware (board) issue -- not salvageable :(
Who would have thought people like John, a smart, courteous tech, exist in Winnipeg, outside of the myriad how-to fix YouTube videos!
(Nick was also very helpful and polite when I went back for an Otterbox — wanted to support Local.)
