I went to this school for Grades 7-8, i have always had some issues with socializing and other things, but as soon as i went here it was so much worse, starting with the students, people would leave others just for more popularity, if you as a person didn't fit in to there standards you were an outcast and bullied, so many rumours had been spread when i went to the school, it was actually insane the amount that was spread. I also do no a lot of the boys in the class were quite jerks, and the females would only be nice for popularity reasoning but gossip behind your back. Now with the teachers, some teachers were fine others were hypocritical, and some just had favourites, some make it more obvious then others but it was really clear and unfair to students, i can understand their phone policy but it was during break but almost class my phone was taken, i explained to them since they had no wi-fi outside i needed to know who would pick me up, my mom or dad, they said oh that doesn't matter and took my phone anyways, yet i know they've seen others on there phone and have not taken it (i could understand this moderately so i'm not to upset). Also i'm not saying all teachers are bad since i had a few teachers here that i actually did like and felt welcomed in the classroom, personally i was in art both years and the teacher was fine and i can't say for sure in music but from the few interactions i had with the teacher she seemed really kind though. The staff/Admin, they could have been nice but at the same time they weren't like a normal one, but, i do know a lot of the time that i was there the admin wasn't really welcoming and i did not want to be near them at all, the staff like the e.a i actually liked most of them, most were truly kind and cared for me. The counsellor does know what she is doing but i think they need more because they need to check in on the students more often and she is quite busy, but she was overall wonderful. In my short opinion if you were considering sending your child here, even though they say that they will care for them, they will get good academics and much more things, I'd send my kid somewhere else because those 2 years of my life felt like a waste when i was there, and was just mentally and physically draining.

I have been in this school for 5 years and was doing pretty great but some of the staff are too strict and the lockers were rusty and dirty inside. They have really fun events happening at some months too which is really great but their computers don't work either

My daughter has been attending this school since pre-school. Love the community and knowing the children she goes to school with. Wonderful staff, and academically based. K-12 is a wonderful option as most schools do not offer all years in one school. Values and respect are still taught and parents are very much involved in their children's education.

Children have attended since K. Appreciate the care of staff and attention to student learning styles, recruited supports. For a relatively small school, provides a variety of options and extra-curriculars. Working to update and maintain building. Solid education for a reasonable private school price.

St. Maurice School is horrible. The environment is poisonous from the principal, vice principal down to the teachers. The priest and religious ministry only collect money. Everything is haphazardly run. Teachers are afraid to say and do anything for students best interests because there is a code of silence and fear . The administration are hypocrites who say one thing and do the opposite. This school only cares about children from affluent families. Many students are constantly bullied and the administration does nothing. They also take extra money from students for providing extra help.Computers also do not work properly.

This school prepares the academically gifted children for post secondary, but neglects the sub par students that need extra supports. It’s all a pissing contest from students right up to staff. Very cliquey and unwelcoming. If you don’t value status, money or titles this school isn’t for you.

I went to sms for 10 years the teachers are nice but the students and the environment they create is very fake and alot of bullies. I went there from grade 3 to 12 and was being bullied daily and very little got dealt with. I felt like I wasn't good enough for included in anything.. I would not recommend this school

I am practically embarrassed to put this school on my resume. Everything seems fine on paper, them offering a bunch of courses and what not, but when you actually get there and experience all of it, you realize that it's a literal clown house. And the people who don't hate this place are brainwashed into liking it.

This is a terrific school. The teachers don’t just focus on he education but they also focus on helping us grow into more mature adults. The environment is full of spirit. I have great friends here that have always stuck by my side. The teachers are so nice and supportive of your decisions. Whenever I walk by one of my old teacher they always acknowledge me b give my a friendly greeting. This is an amazing school full of many diversities and new traditions where everyone has a voice.

St. Maurice School provides students with the foundational knowledge necessary to succeed in University and beyond. As a graduate of St Maurice, I secured direct entry to the Asper School of Business and started my career before graduation. I owe this success to St. Maurice, a school that offers advanced courses that cover quite a bit of first-year university content.I was enrolled from grade 2 through high school, taking my grade nine year off to attend St. Paul's High School. It was the opportunities offered at St. Maurice that brought me back for my last three years of education. In particular, the speech and debate club offered at the school provided the greatest benefit that I have leveraged throughout my career. Run by one of Winnipeg's finest educators, the speech and debate club has provided students with invaluable skills for presentations, interviews, and daily life.I thank the current and past administration for the educational experience of a lifetime. Regardless of age, St. Maurice School is an ideal fit for your child.

A great school with an environment that facilitates learning and dialogue between students and staff. Having completed 2 post-graduate degrees since graduating from St. Maurice (UofM B.Kin., UofT MSc), this school offers education at a level that prepares student VERY well for the workload, intensity, and demands required for university-level education. Would highly recommend
