Mid sized shopping mall with a little more well known stores, more foot traffics, a bigger food court with of course more selection of restaurants, Tim Hortons, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean you name it, an arcade place with movie theater inside, right next to a Walmart, GameStop, Sephora and many more things to explore.

Lots packed into this mid sized mall! The renovations make the mall look brand new. There seems to be everything here making it a pretty well rounded spot for gift shopping. The food court is also quite large. The walkways through it however never cut strait through and end randomly so it's hard to navigate. As a guy shopping with a few ladies, I appreciate all the 'boyfriend benches' scattered about. Very comfy:)

The play structures look hard and slippery here but they are actually soft...and slippery.

This is a smaller, one-level mall compared to Polo Park. I like this mall because it has the necessary stores I need without the busyness. There is ample parking around the whole center. They have a bigger food court than you would expect for a smaller mall. They have your typical Tim Horton's, Thai, Chinese, New York Fries and even dessert and popcorn. I like that this mall has a movie theater attached to the mall because it's one of my favorite theaters to go to. It's nice to do some shopping before and after a show. Or...buy snacks at Walmart and sneak it into the theater...... There are a couple of good sit-down restaurants in and around the mall that are nice to go to before and after too.

St Vital Centre I would consider Winnipeg's second best shopping centre ( Polo Park being #1). The selection of stores for me although similar doesn't compare with Polo Park. Where SVC does have a leg up is on three different stores. They do have a London Drugs, a Jets Store that plus a Chapters bookstore. If you live in the South end of the Peg then this is your mall. Your shopping and browsing oasis in those cold Winnipeg winters! Traffic flow although crazy at times does seem better than Polo Park because there are roads all surrounding the mall with access in and out of. The food court here is well designed, lots of selection and open and your typical Asian, pizza, burgers, Greek, tacos, Subway etc and other mostly fast food options. Overall the mall experience here is average for me. It's what's expected and a good place to browse around head to spend some moolah and support the Winnipeg economy! As most malls it does get busy in the high seasons. In January and early February you can shoot a cannon through here without hitting many as everyone is in credit card hangover mode.

Winter jacket and mitties shopping. Snow forecast tomo!!! Found everything at Sport Chek. Excellent quality winter wear, Lots of jackets for adults and kids. From dressy (but dressy sporty) to very sporty, and almost an overwhelming selection of mittens, gloves, hats, toques, and neck warmers/face shields. I found a GORGEOUS pair of mitts, but they were a little pricey -- $99, so out of my league. ;) They were ski gloves, so if I was a skier I could probably find a way to justify the expense..but I chose my second fave mitts which were about $35. If you know Sport Chek, you'll know they provide gear and clothing for just about every sport. I love the selection, the brand names and the fantastic customer service. Sales staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the store and its merchandise.
