While she was not able to fulfill my requests due to circumstances outside her control, Maria was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Further, she was a comforting presence in a trying time. Their online app is absolutely terrible is all I know the system is constantly down just brutal and a major inconvenience!!! Boo!!!

They're incredibly slow, This is in part due to how they have the computer system set up but it's also in part due to the staff that I have been experiencing. Doing in person transfers takes forever. You get through the line pretty quick.But I have yet to have an interaction where i'm not there for at least half hour. Other banks it would be a five minute in and out.

I recently got a car loan with Steinbach Credit Union. Mateo was great, and made the process easy. From doing the research on a vehicle, doing a test drive, going to SCU to apply for a car loan, getting approved, and driving the vehicle, took all under a week.
My previous vehicle's engine blew, and the warranty wouldn't cover it, so time was of the essence to get a replacement vehicle, and I appreciate that Mateo made the process easier for me. Thanks again!

We’ve been members for years and used various services that are offered. We’ve had mixed experiences, but recently we changed various account details , had them research some dormant account details and applied for a new credit card. Manilka was super competent, efficient and friendly. My son phoned in on a separate matter the next day and spoke with her ( unbeknownst to us) and his experience was the same! Well done!

I’ve been with Steinbach for 20+ years and have noticed a decline not only in service, but competence of those who are hired. It took 1.5 hours to get my name changed. This very same thing took me 10-minutes at RBC. It’s a big deterrent when you have to wait a minimum of 30-minutes to speak with someone. The person I met with moved extremely slow, made errors resulting in documents having to be reprinted, and typed super slow. No wonder it takes so long for people to be seen, and even then errors are made.
The app is also very glitchy and I was unable to accept e-transfers on the app and website. So, I don’t feel comfortable asking people to send me e-transfers which is very inconvenient.

DO NOT deal with this credit union if you want fast service. Everything takes forever even if you want to ask a simple question about your account info.

I was at SCU the other day. I have really bad experience with one of the receptionist.One of the lender left something at lending reception for me to pick up, however when I showed up at lending reception, the black girl did not help, she mentioned there was nothing there without checking. She rolled her eyes on me and her attitude was really bad. I cannot imagine a reception has such bad customer services skills. After I told her to ask the lender to come out. She found my document at lending reception. She did not apologize about her mistake. This is not the first time I had bad experience with her and I am not happy with this experience and SCU at all.

Wanted to open a new account went there at 4.30. Said they can not do it they need at least an hour to do so. Please mention it clearly on website. I just wasted a trip was interested in GIC options. So first experience was this bad going to another institute.

Member service? I have used this branch for over 10 years. When I went in last week to order a new debit card at 10 am on opening, I was second customer and was asked to wait for someone to come help me. It took over 35 minutes for someone to actually come to assist me, even though numerous staff I saw were chatting, checking their phones, drinking coffee. Once someone came over to help me, I got a new card in less than two minutes. I am a client of ACU Sterling Lyon and BMO Bridgewater, and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for customer service. Perhaps SCU is so big now that they have forgotten about their actual members/clients? Would it be useful if management could offer their staff some additional "customer service" training?
