I had to return a Highchair today and was helped by a gentleman named Franklin. He was quick and super friendly! I was very impressed by his service. I will be back to shop there for sure.

They should teach some of their employees to be nice with the customers! I was very calm and tried to control my temper though cause I was with my 5 yr old son. We have been so loyal to store too but after what had happened, i’m not sure if I wanna come back to that store again even with my kids!!!Bought a gift card as a christmas present for a friend (also bought some toys on the same day and other gift cards as well as Toys r us is one of our fave store,esp my kids!) and for some reason the funds on the gift card didn’t go through. I wanted to double check what happened so I decided to call the store hoping that someone can assist me with this issue, I have spoken to their manager Cristine not sure if I spell her name correctly, she told me that I need to go to the store to see if I can have a refund. Which I did the next day. I have a photo ,receipt and some proofs (including the gift card) with me. I know that it’s just a 15 bucks gc amount ,but my point was, I feel bad for our friend who received this gift card and trying to use this simple christmas present ,he ordered a coffee but the gift card has 0 fund when he was trying to pay with it. Imagine how would you feel if you are in his situation? We felt bad too! But who cares,right? I didn’t feel that you’re employees cared! I know that it is nobody’s fault ,it was a computer issue or glitch, so I wasn’t blaming anyone but a simple SORRY is enough for the inconvenience but I didn’t get or hear that, okey fine! but what makes me write this review was the attitude that i got from the manager and the cashier in the customer service. I felt that my face turned red and felt humiliated infront of the other customers in line when they were asking about the cards, some customers were looking at me like I stole something! OMG! WOW!! Just wow!! I think you don’t like your job. THANK YOU!

They had a great Lego deal but had a set that wasn't for sale out, so that was disappointing, then we got another set and they failed to mention the deal didn't apply, so much wasted time in line ups. Much disappointment. Store looks run down as well and the bathroom stall door barely closed.

I would like to leave the experience I had in the 1445 St Matthews location here in Winnipeg today. Please let me start by explaining that I am a retail manager with another large Canadian retailer with more than 13 years of management experience. You currently have a promotion on clearance items in the store where when you buy one the second is 50% off. Great promotion. My son is a big wrestling fan and I was excited to see the all of the AEW wrestling figures marked with clearance tags. I decided to buy figures for my boy for part of his Christmas present. When I got to the check out and the rang up the figures it was discovered they didn’t qualify for the promotion. I questioned why and the cashier asked a man named Oliver about it and all he just said they didn’t qualify and I said “but the promotion is on clearance items and all the AEW figures are marked as clearance” Oliver immediately got confrontational and said that they were not. I really didn’t appreciate his attitude and asked to go check the tags posted. We did and the entire walk down to the display he continued with very poor attitude. When we got to the display and he saw all the tags marked as clearance he started pulling the tags down saying is was a mistake and it was then I took photos of some of the tags before he removed all of them and he told me I could take all the photos I wanted because the clearance price needed to end in 98 cents to qualify and these figures ended in 97 cent. It does state this in small print on the promotional material in the store. I understand that in retail sometimes errors are made with price tags and although it would have been nice of the store to honour the promotion I understand that’s not an option as prices can not be altered in the system but Oliver’s attitude and the way he handled the situation was TERRIBLE. I did ask to speak to the manager and the assistant manager Zach was very professional in discussing the issue with me. I was grumpy and decided not to buy anything. I probably would have bought one of the figures if my interaction with Oliver wasn’t so poor. I have been a pretty loyal TRU customer for a long time and I’ll be honest I’ll still shop at TRU but I’ll certainly think twice before shopping at this location again. I’ll gladly drive across town to the Pembina location if this is the service level to be expected at this location.

The store is completely fine except for the fact that I got racially profiled by the old white woman working there. She gave me attitude for literally no reason whatsoever.

Very pleased with the service at this location. Bernie helped find exactly what I came in for and went beyond my expectations of ensuring I left the store happy! Excellent job, there definitely needs to be more customer service experiences out there like the one provided yesterday!

Got given a bassinet for a gift . I opened the box not only to find out it had already been used but to find dirt and stains on it aswell. Customers need to be told when they are buying an open box product, and the company needs to check that the product is in good condition, not soiled! Beyond not impressed by Toys R Us ....

Extremely disappointed with toys R us cashier employees working 1pm October 29th 2023.Immediately sensed rudeness from the East Indian women, as she did not give any effort in helping me with requesting a product. All I got was a "NO!!!" Without any consideration of the question implied.She then changed her wording from no to "not in stock" without even looking or trying to help us.The product that I wanted was visabally available on the floor but too big for me or my husband to carry, that is why I asked for help, whereas the worker was NOT customer friendly to assist me in appropriate manner!SHAMEFUL that you hire employees that are very rude to other ethnic backgrounds.You need educated employees with a diversity knowledge of employment protocols.We live in Canada for crying out loud. Diversity is among us all.Friendly manitoba is out of the picture now!Disappointed wholeheartedly.My children love toys R us but the employees reflecting their bitterness to their parents is not in anyway okay at all.

Looking for hotwheels........ manager please to boys section over intercom immediately...... all of a sudden some guy approached me asking me if I need help management type guy..... really why you ask just me I ask him.... oh I ask every one that question..... really I didn't see you ask any other people just me..... I left. Thanks for making a customer feel wanted. Also seen 5 other employees who never asked me anything. Will not be going back there.

Have to say a BIG thank you to Sean for his wonderful customer service. We phoned in about a missing piece for a bike we bought and Sean went above and beyond to make the process smooth, easy and quick for us and our toddler (who was very excited about said bike)! Thank you Sean for your 11/10 service!

Worst experience and very unprofessional! We bought a stroller for my 5yr old son that has a disability and cannot walk. Got a stroller with defective tires, we went back but store said they don’t have other stocks so they send us driving all the way to Pembina to get it changed. 2nd stroller had same issues so we went back to st. James to get a refund so we can get a different brand of stroller. The very inconsiderate manager Christine easily said NO. She said we have to deal with it directly to the manufacturer! What a convenient way to solve the situation! She said its on the store policy when I asked her to show it to me so I can read it, she browsed her phone but did not see any. She even told “you have to leave this place now!” I don’t know how this person got her position maybe she’s been there for so long but she actually don’t have the proper knowledge to deal with customers. I just left the store very upset .
