I love getting their spaghetti dinner for take out. It's a great value, the portion is massive, I'll pick on it for a couple of days. It's great on nights when I don't feel like cooking but still want something hearty that tastes homemade. They're amazing!

I really wanted to like this place. We heard how nice it was and brought our grandkids. We ordered two burgers, three sandwiches and an order of sweet potato fries. We noticed that our server had left the restaurant. We sat there for 45 minutes without getting our food. Meanwhile folks that came in long after us were served and some even finished. No, it was not really busy either. At 45 minutes I asked the person who had seated us where our food was. He said he would check with our server. Meanwhile, we saw our server re-enter the restaurant. Needless to say not much of the food was consumed since they really needed to be on the road. Loved the atmosphere but the service was the worst we have encountered and we did tip which made the cost over $100.Finally, I asked for unsweetened tea because I am diabetic. It came sweet apparently because the unsweetened needed to be brewed. I did get the unsweetened tea at the 45 minute mark and that was ok but after tasting the sweetened tea.We cannot recommend it but you may be ok with a different server.

I was a first timer at Mamie's last night, 7.6.2013Fantastic flavor in her sauce, yet light, and ooooh poured over & baked with the eggplant Parm!I am a very picky eater when I pay for the food. Mamie's is far more than finding calories to ingest.I'll tell you what it isn't: school lunch, Chef Boyardee, Cisco etc.If you know eggplant Parmesan. If you have had it prepared and done right, then Mamie's is worth an hour's drive just for that. The Reuben sandwich, corned beef, also done right and just wonderful. My business has me travel around and I go to lots of restaurants. I'd say 15 out of 20 egg parm dishes I try are bland, mealy, soppy low-bid microwaved canned or frozen food dishes having no heart at all topped with gvmnt cheese. In fact, when I see "authentic Italian food" billed over an establishment, I like to go in and order the egg parm and I really am hopeful. But if it isn't good, back the dish goes and I gently explain that it was really insulting considering the billing. One Italian place in Havre De Grace has the worst I've eaten in the last 20 years. I will never return there again. They presumed their dish was just fine...kaaacckk. There is an Italian place in Quince Orchard MD that is great. But I think Mamie's is better, ranking # 1 for me. An Italian Rest. in Wildwood NJ has a good Egg Parm I get when I go there. A deeper meatier sauce. So, Mamie's is on my return list. Can't wait to try her other dishes.

Amazing home cooked food. It’s a bit on the pricey side but you will understand when you get your plate. The portions are huge and I have yet to have something I didn’t like. Highly recommend for dinner! It’s also pretty quirky inside if you’re into that.

I love stopping at little local places when I travel. This was such a cool place with old photos all over the walls and nostalgic items that I remember from my childhood and from my grandparents house. Plus all their carousels were beautiful to look at. They have a variety of items on the menu but I simply had a chicken salad sandwich and they gave a generous helping and dessert even comes with the meal. Check it out if you’re around the way.

Have been traveling to Aberdeen for a couple of years now and finally visited Mamies after coworkers all raved about the place. Well, the atmosphere definitely lived up to their comments, but the food did not. Got 3 stars only b/c of service (only 4 other people there) and atmosphere.Large dinner salad was exactly what you would expect it to be. However, the flounder was so thin that all you tasted was the breading. Dry at that. Coworker had the wrapped salmon and crab. He said it was good but cooked too much and was dry.Think you'll be better off driving 15 minutes for a better dinner option. 1 and done for me.

My first time to Mamies. Everything was delicious and our waitress was wonderful. I was with a church group of about 30 people, everything came out on time and everyone was happy. I got the stuffed Cornish hen meal with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was like having a mini thanksgiving meal. The portions are huge! Desserts are yummy, wrapped to go and complimentary. The decor is homie and unique.Come to Mamies if you want comfort food that’s all homemade. The place was full of happy diners. This is a staple in the area, you must try!
