This is a fun place to wander. They had some many cool hidden gems. Be prepared to dig but you will find some awesome stuff. Plus they have what appears to be all the basic hardware stuff! And a shop cat!

Every time I need something outside the box, these guys have it. From kitchen renovation to tree house or tinyhouse construction or a box for a snapping turtle they have no equal and stand above the retail community as a colossus.

Old-school, family-run hardware store. I needed a set of screwdriver bits and was able to get them used for five bucks. I often go there when I'm building something and need a random component like an electric motor.

I have never been to this place, when I set my GPS to bring me and arrived I actually wondered if I had the correct info. This place looks like a hoarding lot with a bunch of trash in the parking lot, from toilets to tables to garden equipment.
Walking in I was “greeted” by a cat who jumped to my feet. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for a business to have a cat jump on people. I waited a few minutes and all of the sudden I hear a man asking if he could help me with anything. I approached him after walking trough the clutter of this place (the outside is just a hint of what this place is on the inside) and asked for the part I was there to get. He laughed to my face saying “universal”? That doesn’t help me. His body language was so insulting, laughing in between sentences as if I was stupid.
I was there to get a part, not to be insulted by him. I have never been treated this way. I know man usually assume us females don’t know anything, but I am not an idiot. I wonder if he talks to everyone this way or not. I would love to go back with my husband to see what treatment he gets. Bottom line, after being insulted just because I didn’t know exactly the name of the part but I did have a picture and measurements I just turned around and left. Is not like me to do this, especially to not say thank you but I honestly just walked out. This guy is probably the one always blaming large corporations taking his “business ” but he does absolutely nothing to keep his. I wouldn’t recommend this “business” to anyone. The way this guy made me feel was not ok.
Good luck staying in business!

Went to Home Depot in Bel Air for new valves and handles for 35 year old faucet on sanitary tub. No luck with parts there, but plumbing assistant said to go to Hodges in Aberdeen. Told me they have lots of parts especially for older faucets. Great success since salesperson took his time and matched the right parts. Excellent customer service and fair prices. No need for a plumber, DIY. Stop by and you will be amazed of everything Hodges has available.

Even though my plans to build a sewing frame were more ephemeral than an actual plan, the person helped me get the hardware and supplies that I needed so that I can make my project a reality, much more help than the orange place. I will definitely shop here again.

Yesterday I went to this location for a flapper for my toilet. As soon as I walked in the door a older man was in my face asking to assist me. I told him what I needed so he walked me to the back area where the flappers were, we discussed which one I needed. I knew which one it wasn't my first time buying one. He handed me a flapper that had been opened, I refused that one, I picked one that was new. We walked back to the counter, there was a large cat on the counter. Also a cat bed . Really?? Someone may have allergies. Luckily I didn't! The old man went outside and started fiddling with same items outside. He didn't bother to ring up my flapper!! It was two men looking at pipes. A lady sitting in the a chair playing with her phone. No one at the counter. I waited about 5 to 7 minutes then I put the flapper on counter and walked out. What kind of customer service is this???? First of all, the place is cluttered and junky, It's looks more like a junk yard than a hardware store! I would NOT recommend shopping there!! I would give zero stars if I could!!
