Couldn’t be happier with the services we received! We feel like our Timber (GSD) was truly cared about and looked at thoroughly. Every question we had was answered and everything was explained in terms we could understand.

Newer to the area, we had to bring one of our babies here for an emergency visit. Alexeii loved the atmosphere, and so did we! They examined him, gave him proper medications and sent us on our way. Three weeks later, he is all healed up. The cost is not too expensive, either! The staff was great, and we were called into an exam room quickly. We will definitely be going here from now on.

My cat recieved a grim prognosis from a vet that I went to for years. My Latte was very anemic and on the verge of death. My vet gave him 3 days and a small prescription of steriods.
I called HART for a 2nd opinion and they saw my Latte a day later. The vet staff was kind and the vet took the time to listen to my concerns and to see what I wanted to do. The vet at HART (Dr. Greer) took my concerns into consideration, dewormed him, and gave him an iron supplement. The staff rechecked his blood levels the following Monday and they improved!
I cried happy tears and the vet gave me a hug. The vets at HART consulted specialist vets in Pittsburgh and made a care plan of blood draws and meds.
That was nearly a year ago and he is a happy 2.5 year old 13lb cat.
I'm so thankful to the staff at HART who took the time to listen and saved my baby. (Granted he will probably have to take medicine for the rest of his life but it's a small price to pay for the happiness of my baby.)
I will never take my cat to another vet unless we are referred by HART. The staff at HART is amazing in all aspects!

It was a very comprehensive and efficient appt. My kitties are usually skiddish but not at all when I take them to Hart. Everyone is professional and kind and helpful.

Wonderful vet. Knowledgeable and kind to the animals. Plus money spent here helps them care for strays and rescues.

I adopted Harley...a lovable kitten who had her tail amputated. I didn't know how hard I would fall for her but it was instantaneous. We had a 6ft cat tree which we had for our previous cat who we had for 10 yrs but never bothered with it. Harley loves it and the toys I bought for her. Hart for Animals cares about their animals and who adopts them. We have had Harley 3 weeks and I will forever love her. She's my baby. Ty Hart for entrusting Harley with us.

I wish I had the same experience as the reviews I've read, sadly I didn't the vet continually stated she only has 15 minutes with Blu, stated she couldn't do anything without her previous records, which I scheduled the appointment 2 weeks prior w/the previous vets info, kept looking at her watch. When I was paying for office visit they came out and suddenly had her records but my 15 minutes ended. I know Blu needed tests, also wanted flee and tick pill ... I got nothing from the vet other then she only had 15 minutes I left out of this place in tears ... I had money for tests but I was treated so bad I would never go back and would never refer this place ... I'm still upset not knowing why I was treated so badly

Unfortunately, I had to edit my original review. They let me take a contagious cat back home, to other cats that we love very much.
I came in explaining that I wanted him tested for Common Respiratory Illnesses, because he was sneezing a whole bunch and throwing snot everywhere, wheezing and gurgling.
The receipt just said "Triple Test" on it, and didn't explain what tests had been done. The front desk lady told me he was safe to go home.
I started to worry because he was still sneezing a ton, after two weeks, and he had now shared bowls with his new brother......His PetDesk tests came back and there was no sign of FCV testing....
I called in, and they confirmed they had NOT TESTED HIM FOR FCV!!!
They tried to make it my fault, telling me I didn't specifically ask for the FCV test..... Cause im supposed to be the doctor now??
I told them they could test both my cats now for free, and that would resolve it for me...... They refused.
So now I have to contact a lawyer, with two sick cats, and the VET refuses to be reasonable. I am distraught and I already have really bad trust issues, because of people like this.
Could have been two tests and $100 fix.... Now it's going to be a lawsuit

I like everything about HART - its mission, its personnel, its volunteers. It has become a Garrett County institution. My dog, Pearle, was adopted from HART, and I will always take her here for her veterinary needs.

The vet and vet techs have all been extremely friendly. They have sat on the floor to make our dogs comfortable and make it a great experience.

I don't want to be too harsh in my review, I overall had a mediocre experience. I was able to get an appointment to get my two rescue cats fixed so they could go to their new home. I drove 3 hours one way to visit this clinic for my appointment. The veterinary technician was SO sweet to me, which is what saved this review. The two receptionists were very curt, short, rude and off putting, I was not greeted kindly- I was not greeted at all, they acted as though they didn't want to be there whatsoever. When I was able to pick my two girls up after their appointment, the one receptionist ignored me completely, since it was later on in the day around the afternoon, the other receptionist was much kinder this time around. All in all I will never go that far again whether or not the timing is more convienient because I am baffled at how I was treated, when I was kind to everyone in there regardless of how I was treated, I will stick to local even if it takes longer.

I went feeling extremely stressed and thanks to the caring and professional staff I was able to calm down and my fur baby, Midnight, was seen and well taken care of. I have a pit bull and she is very friendly but her size can be intimidating and they handled her excellent. I highly recommend their services.
