Ive shopped at this Giant location since moving to Accokeek in 2005. I particularly like the deli and seafood counter. The quality of the items ive purchased has always been top notch. I recently purchased catfish fillets to have for dinner the day after Thanksgiving. The fish was almost rotten and smelled horrendous! Closer attention must be given to food being sold to customers especially with the cost being so high. I couldn't find my receipt so I just threw it away. Please do better!

Terrible service. And they lock the entry door on one side of the building. Like idiots, I hate this place so much. I'm never coming here again. Because they lock the doors and piss me off every day

I had a terrible experience while shopping at this store. The front end supervisor, Donna is extremely unprofessional. She raised her voice at my husband over a pricing discrepancy and belittled him by saying he needs to learn how to read among other insults. I filed several corporate complaints with no follow up. They do not care about the service provided to customers so they don't need our business. There are a few markets to choose from in this area. I would recommend you shop somewhere else. Oh and Donna is very loud and proud of the fact that they NEED her so I can file all the complaints I want.

A few weeks ago I was shopping for dinner. At self checkout one of the coupons didn't work. So someone called Donna who at the time was the frontend supervisor. She came back from checking the price and said the price was correct. I begged to differ. So we both went to the aisle and she tried to tell me that the price over top of the items was the correct price. She then proceeds to scream at me telling that she's going to give me the price but I was wrong. At this point I was livid. She goes back to self checkout and started to berate me in front of other customers. Then she yelled "you need to learn how to read." At this point i was livid, so much so that two other customers had to intervene because they thought that she was baiting me into a confrontation so she can call the police.The next day I went back to the store and spoke with the store manager at the time named Jarrett. After speaking with him, he assured me that he will take care of it.A few weeks later when I went into the store, I saw that Jarrett was no longer there and I overheard Donna telling another one of her colleagues that they can't get rid of her because they need her. And I can't help but to think she said that purposely to taunt me. So I called back and spoke with the new manager who name is John. John was very rude, condescending and quite uninterested in hearing my complaint.I called corporate to make a complaint and I requested a call from the district and regional manager, because my initial complaint should have went to upper management and it didn't. As of yet, no one from Giant called me back.So far this year we have spent thousands of dollars in Giant due to our large household. It is quite apparent that Giant cares more about protecting their disrespectful employees rather than making sure customers are treated with dignity and respect.The new manager John cares very little about the community he works in and it seems he'll be very dismissive when customers have valid concerns and complaints.We have been Giant customers for over 20 years and I have never been more disrespected. So moving forward I will no longer be Giant Food customer. There are so many other supermarkets that would appreciate my hard earned money. With the holidays coming up, I am pretty sure Shoppers or Safeway would love to have my family as customers. And I am pretty sure that I will be treated with dignity and respect.Luckily I am educated, but what if I wasn't? What if I had a learning disability, poor vision, language barrier, or suffered from dyslexia? Telling a customer that they need to learn how to read with absolutely no consequences is absolutely appalling. That could be discrimination according to the American Disability Act.A former disgusted Giant customer...PS. I am still interested in talking to the regional and distract managers because I still want my complaint formally documented and acknowledged by management.

This is my neighborhood store, but not the best store either! The reason, they judge the customers. I went to return a item that my daughter did not use, and I had my receipt too, and a lady that works at the customers service name Carol afepress acted and said something that made me nitbshop there anymore

Big store with well stocked shelves. The produce is fresh. They also sell fresh fish at the deli counter.

My review is use of their app and delivery, Their delivery is 5 stars, cans are rarely dented, quantity is always correct, they are always on time and have low delivery fees, they have their own delivery truck, giant food is hands down the best at delivery and service.

The woman who works behind the service desk is rude. Went shopping here and stepped away from my very full cart to get a few items. When I returned, my cart was missing. I assumed the service desk might have it for some reason and I was correct. However, my cart then had extra items that weren’t mine in it and some of the hot items I had were gone. I said to the woman behind the service desk that she had my cart and explained I simply walked away to get a few extra items. She didn’t give me eye contact. I repeated myself and explained my story a bit better and she looked at me and said “ok?” as if she didn’t understand what she had done to inconvenience me. I understand some shoppers might abandon their carts, but I didn’t appreciate her attitude towards me especially since it was her mistake. I took out the items she added to my cart (at this point she turned her head away from me again and wouldn’t give me eye contact), left them in front of her and carted away. Very rude.

Easy stop to grab staple grocery supplies. They have a large selection of healthy produce and the shelves are always stocked.

Produce section limited. I've asked for certain produce for my birds but they haven't accommodated my request.Lol, just asked me if anything changed. As a matter of fact it has, I picked up 2 items that we're on sale and went thru self checkout. After I scanned my rewards card, price of the items stayed regular price. When I showed the employee, he said he couldn't do anything about it except void the items if I didn't want to pay. I just shook my head and walked out.
