We love CMCLC! The enrollment was easy and the staff are so helpful. My oldest attended before he was in K and had a great experience there and my youngest is currently there now and loves his teachers. We receive pictures throughout the day, updates on snacks, naps, potty training, everything! The keypad lock at the front door gives me peace of mind and I'm glad they put the kids safety first. They are really on top of it and it's easy to see how much they love the kids and want to progress their development. I get pictures every day of my son reading books, doing all kinds of arts and crafts, dancing, playing pretend, and playing with educational toys, so I know he is receiving a well balanced experience. It's a great place - highly reccomend if youre in the Adamstown area and looking for childcare!

I’m a current teacher at CMCLC and I absolutely love working here! The teachers are all so nice and get along really well, the environment is so welcoming and fun, and the activities and themes we work on each week with the children give so many outlets to creative and quality learning! The teachers truly care for each child in their care and we do our best to ensure they all have fun and active days! This is an amazing center and would definitely recommend!

I am a current employee who has almost been here a year and I LOVE this work environment!!! The staff is so amazing with the kids and caring to one another as the work environment feels like family. Ms Shirley is an AMAZING director who strives to make sure the center shines every single day!!! There are so many fun activities for kids to do daily including morning and afternoon outside time!! 10/10 would recommend this positive environment!!!

I am a previous employee of CMCLC and I had a wonderful experience when I worked here. This school feels like a small family environment where the teachers provide quality care to all students. There are so many fun and exciting things for young children to grow and engage with such as a specials room, an outdoor learning deck, and a greenhouse among so much more. I cannot say enough positive things about the teachers, owner, and school environment! :)

All the teachers and owner included have the best interest in mind when it comes to the kids.

Do not send your kids here, the owner is a terrible business owner.

I'm going to do my best to take all emotions out of this review (though that's easier said than done when it comes to our children), and present facts about CMCLC, the leadership, and facility for you to help base your decision on. My daughter attended CMCLC from July 2020, to May 2021, and started in the infant/toddler's classroom before moving to the 2's. To say the school has a high teacher turnover rate is putting it mildly. Unfortunately, the cause of all the turnover seems to boil down to the same common denominator, Shirley Valspar. The staff is underpaid, underappreciated and overworked, a recipe for disaster. We've been told it's not unusual for teachers to not have help with coverage and therefore cannot take breaks or lunches, and it's even been difficult for them to use the restroom. Shirley hires these young women with little to no experience and expects them to work long hours with little help and back-up, or the complete opposite where she sends them home after a few hours so she doesn't have to pay them for the whole day. The only reason we kept my daughter there as long as we did was because of her teachers, and to hear how they're treated was absolutely appalling. The ultimate reason we pulled our daughter from CMCLC was several safety concerns. Of course kids will be kids and bumps and bruises are going to happen. However, it is a County licensing mandate that "the operator shall, if a child has an injury or accident while in attendance, notify the child's parent within the same day, about any other injury and each accident which may result in injury." CMCLC does not follow this regulation and there have been several occasions where my daughter came home with deep scratches and bruises without us being notified either written or verbally. No incident reports were filed. In January of 2021, I received a phone call that my daughter had an accident going down the slide. It turns out she actually fractured her leg and was put in a cast for six weeks. We were advised from urgent care to report it to CPS which we did and they came out to interview us and conduct a drop-I visit to CMCLC. What really upset us was the fact that the day it occurred all the way up to the next afternoon, we didn't hear a peep from the school. No one bothered to call, text or email to check on our daughter. When we called to tell them that it was actually a case of broken leg, it took a few more hours for Shirley to finally get in touch with us. Her excuse for not calling to check in was: 1) She didn't know it was serious; and 2) She figured the family would be busy at the doctor's and didn't want to bother us. On top of that, Shirley, nor her second-in-charge were even at the school at the time of the accident which begs me to ask, would this accident have occurred if they were there and teachers didn't have to worry about keeping charge of the school while watching the kids? The final incident was when I picked my daughter up and noticed a huge bruise forming in the middle of her forehead the teacher didn't tell me about. I emailed Shirley and was told it must've happened when she was napping and that they would make sure going forward she isn't placed next to anything she can hit her head on while napping. Again, no report. This incident was part of my complaint to licensing and I found out that Shirley actually lied and stated I was called after the bruise was noticed which never happened. Another concern is that Directors must be present on-site for at least 50% of the operating hours except when engaged in occasional center related activities or away on leave. Shirley is only there a few hours a week putting a huge strain on staff when they are already shorthanded and posing a risk to kids safety and well being when teachers are pulled from classrooms to take on the Director's responsibility when she is not there. Since then we've found a wonderful daycare where we are comforted in knowing that our girl is safe and hap

Don’t trust them. They took our deposit, then a week later tried to put us in an “overflow class” in the basement of a house. They promised to return our deposit... but then refused.

My daughter loves it here and has been going since she was six weeks old. Her knowledge and excitement to learn impress me every day and I know it's due to the amazing teachers at the center.
