“I am so sad that Ann Sandra is relocating. I have always enjoyed shopping there for holiday gifts, baby gifts, and splurges for myself. Good luck and best wishes to Fred and the entire staff in your new endeavor. You will be missed!”
“I have nothing but wonderful things to say about SHELTER! My husband and I had them design custom wedding rings. They walked us through the whole process and pricing. Everything was transparent and they made sure we were happy at every stage from the design through the fitting. Hope to work with them again in the future and would highly recommend them for custom jewelry or they also have wonderful designs in the store.”
“The staff and owner of this sweet shop went ABOVE AND BEYOND to embroider something last minute for Christmas. The staff and owner are lovely. They make their own candles (not a scented candle person, usually too stinky) but theirs are perfectly balanced and natural - and are made by women who are in need (I bought two). Lovely linens, robes, jewelry, etc. I will be recommending this sweet shop to all my friends.”
“Doing Nisey’s is like being on a treasure hunt. You will find something that satisfies your desire, need or want. While shopping, the vibe you experience is like therapy. A real feel good place. The proprietor (Jackie) is informative, creative, sweet and a true jewel.??”
“I have ordered 5 baskets and they have all been so amazing! Everyone I have gifted a basket to, want another one! I love how much time and love is placed on every basket. So many amazing goodies in each, and everyone loves them! An top tier customer service every time! I will definitely continue buying more baskets!”
“I love shopping at Steadfast Supply. They have such unique and fun items in their store. I never leave empty handed. They source incredible greeting cards too and it's my first stop in the neighborhood for any card I need for personal or work scenarios!”
“Attended an event at the Reach Center at the Kennedy Center. Too much walking. but wonderful vibe. The folks at the gift shop helped me find my event (I was lost for at least 20 minutes). Lol! The staff is SUPER helpful !”
“This is one of my favorite places to go! The owner is so lovely and the diversity of items is unmatched! I can't say enough positive things about this shop!”

“The overall experience was mostly good. The museum has a lot of interesting choices for exhibits and what is shown is very digestible for most people. There are a couple of reasons I'm not giving it a complete 5 stars:
1) The food at the Cafe's leaves something to be desired. It really is a cafeteria format. At the atrium cafe that is not far from the entrance, you get a tray and pick the food you'd like served on other paper plates and trays. Most of it truly is cafeteria food such as burgers, Mac and cheese, and chicken tenders & waffle fries are among some choices. They didn't taste all that great as they are left on heated areas for people to grab and who knows how long they sit there.
2) There is an Egyptian mummy exhibit. A history I am usually very interested in. And while the 4 or 5 windows of those exhibits were interesting, I also found it to be a small collection. Not a bad thing necessarily, I was just a tad disappointed.
3) A lot of things take some tickets in advance to get into which is similar to other museums in the area. This is not a bad thing, just something to be aware of before coming in. The butterfly atrium is one of these as an example.
Overall, still a great place to go and worth seeing for free admission. It made my 1st time in Washington D.C memorable.”
“An amazing place to stumble into during a hot girl walk, perfect for finding a unique card for your long-distance best friend in Europe. A HUGEEEEE shoutout to Monique (hope I’m spelling it correctly) for beautifully handwriting my message inside the card”
“I love everything about Nova Bossa. Carolina and her team have selected beautiful items that you can feel really good about. They spark you heart and soul. I bought a ring when I just really needed something pretty and good -- they made the shopping experience so positive and now I have a bit of sparkle in my day. Would recommend in every way if you're looking for that special gift for someone or for yourself.”

“I found this business online while on the hunt for a wooden wine holder shaped as a duck for my girlfriend's mother as she had added this to her Christmas wishlist. (Yes, I know it sounds silly). I'm skeptical when it comes to online shopping with the way the world is today but I hoped for the best & ended up purchasing the item. What led me to their site was the fact that the product was way cheaper than the competitors & their shipping timeframe was promising. About a week later, I received the item and it was perfect! Exactly as described, got here quickly, and didn't cost an arm or a leg to do so! Very satisfied customer!”

“This store is GREAT for gifts, surprises, or just some nice finds to have around your home. It's also great for finding puzzles, games, or hobbies to do on your own. They also had quality cards for special occasions, and many unique items - and all for a good value - that really made me appreciate this store. It's a shop that's worth coming by over and over again, whenever I'm in the area to see what finds for sale the owner has managed to pull out of the top hat. And this isn't a second-hand shop.”
“Visited with MIL - a gem of a find. While small, lots of beautiful and unique gifts, especially for the hard-to-shop-for category. The owner was a delight and we were happy to leave with nice gifts for others (bags, jewelry, and definitely some for ourselves). It's right off Eastern Market and upstairs from a cards and balloons shop so a bit hard to see from the street - but worth seeking out!”
“I love this store, both the Shirlington and Wharf locations! They have a variety of unique gift ideas - but my favorite is their selection of vintage jewelry 5 stars all the way!”

“Always a great selection of cool NASA items, from pins and stickers to jewelry, apparel, and home items. Prices are very reasonable, some items are pricey but nothing feels overpriced.”
“The only smoke shop in DC worth going to! The staff are so kind and incredibly knowledgeable. Most importantly though… the vibes. They are the best. No where else gets my business—if you’re considering checking this place out, I highly recommend it!”

“We are so lucky to have this amazing store in Kensington. Pink Dot has saved me so many times with the perfect gifts. Such a friendly staff and love the small town store feel. Don't miss this gem!”
“We were pleasantly surprised by the National Building Museum! It was recommended to me by a relative and I'm glad we took the time to check it out. It was just my husband and I, so we skipped the extra fee to see the Lawn exhibit, aimed at families with young children. It made me miss my kids at that age as they would have loved running up and down hills! We enjoyed many of the unusual current exhibits such as Hoops (photographer Bill Bamberger's collection of photographs depicting basketball courts from around the world showing how they build communities), House & Home (historical exhibit about what it means to live at home for different people across the United States), Secret Cities (the architecture and planning of the Manhattan Project), Flickering Treasures (historical look at the world of great movie theaters in Baltimore), and more! Also, the building that houses the National Building Museum itself is quite grand and there is something to see. Completed in 1887, it originally housed the United States Pension Bureau to serve Civil War veterans and their families. A frieze depicting scenes from the Civil War surrounds the exterior of the building. It also served as the location of several inaugural balls and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1985.”
“This is the actual gift shop in the headquarters building of NASA so of course it's awesome. Really friendly staff that will help you find what you need in terms of clothing pins cups or astronaut ice cream”
“The service this store provided was punctual, considerate, and delivered exactly what we ordered! The delivery person stayed in constant contact with me even when they were given the wrong address! Great Job”
“I think this is Black Owned. A black gentleman always helps me when I need to find fascinators. They have a wide selection of fascinators and african print apparel.”
“Love this shop on Kensington’s antique row. It’s full of fun gifts and lots of local/seasonal finds. Perfect for picking up a hosting gift or housewarming and fun to browse.”
