Our whole family used Accurate for years and we were very happy with their service and friendliness. Dave used to work there and was our car guru for years (anyone knows if he is working at a different shop?) But the last time we went there something had changed. We did not get the same friendliness vibe we used to. We were also charged close to $80 for a battery check and told they would not credit the amount to us if we changed our battery with them. This after they charged us $153 to unclog a water drain from the car frame. They also claimed we needed to change the front brake pads at a cost of hundreds of dollars. A second place told us the brakes were fine. This is not what we had been used to at Accurate. I don’t mind paying for service as long as the service is needed and provided with sincerity and accuracy. After all we have paid thousands to Accurate over the years for service, maintenance and buying cars from them. Maybe they had a bad day or they changed owners. They made more than $200 on us for a service that was delivered poorly and without sincerity. As they say “penny wise, pound foolish.” We are open to recommendations for a new shop!

Edit: Updating my review to say the shop saw my review and reached out. They explained their approach and took action to try making things right. I appreciated the effort.
Took my 2014 Explorer in on 5/6/25 to have my check engine light looked into. I was called and told my purge solenoid was going bad. To do the work it would cost $1,090.96. I'm not much of a car person and definitely do not know what is fair when it comes to parts and labor. They had my car and I needed it back so I told them to go ahead and do the work. When I picked my car up I was charged $1244.91. I understand it cost to look the car over. I just would've assumed that this was added into the price that I was quoted in addition to the shop supply fees and the hazardous material fee.
When I received my itemized statement, it said that the vapor canister purge solenoid part that I needed cost $563.78 in addition to that the labor charge to put it on cost $461.85. So to Googled a used AI to do a deep search on what is fair in the area that I live. My search came up I was vastly ripped off between $700 and $1000. I looked into if tariffs played a roll and as of current, they do not. In my opinion, I was ripped off at least $400. The most expensive vapor canister purge solenoid OEM part that I could find on the Internet cost just under $100. Which means they up-charged me over 500% of what the part costs. Additionally, I looked into what it takes for labor getting the part off and on. On my specific vehicle it is not difficult. There are not a lot of components that need to be removed to access purge solenoid. Multiple sources state that someone with base level mechanic skills (not a master mechanic) can easily complete this job in 30 minutes to an hour. It is unlikely that this took more than an hour and it is unlikely that they charge $461.85 an hour for labor.
Here's a breakdown of what I was charged: vapor canister purge solenoid $563.78, shop supplies $25, vehicle inspections/overlook $153.95, Labor to put on purge solenoid $461.85, and a hazardous materials fee of $5. I gave them two stars because they did seem courteous and were able to get my car done quickly. It was done by 11:30am the morning they received the part.

They always do great work for us. We have two trucks and a Jeep and we now take all of them here. I don’t even go to the dealership anymore. Accurate is consistently better than any Dodge/Chrystler/GM dealership we’ve been to in the area over the years. Accurate is also honest about what does and DOES NOT need done on a vehicle. And their prices are great!

I will only take my car (2011 RDX) to ACCURATE. They always fix my problem and give me options. I recommend them to all my friends who need car repairs. They work quickly and honestly, and are probably the reason my 13-year-old car has 225,000 miles on it and is still driving!

I had my AC checked about 6 months ago. Mg husband noticed last week that the AC wasn’t working again. Called them on a Friday afternoon, and Jennifer was so pleasant on the phone. She said I could drop my car off Monday morning and they would take a look at it. Received a call Monday early afternoon with updates. The mechanic (I’m so sorry, I cannot remember his name) was thorough and explained things short and sweet, and to my level of understanding. He did all the research on my cars AC warranty and provided detailed instructions for next steps to take (further work needed to be done at dealership for financial/warranty coverage). Extremely pleasant to work with & very grateful to have this auto shop close to home!
