Very disappointing shopping trip to the commissary. Not only were very common food items unavailable ie Turkey Italian sausage, Chobani plain Greek yogurt, vegan cheese, but then we had to stand in line 30 minutes to check ourselves check ourselves out, with only 5 machines available. Another benefit being cut back on.

Having had the pleasure of shopping at many a commissary in my 30+ years with the Navy, I can honestly say some of the folks that work here have serious attitude problems and forget that they have jobs here to support the service members and their families who are either still serving or those whom have gone before us. Hey manager, do us all a favor and conduct some mission statement training with your employees and set some expectations accordingly. Other than that, the selection is satisfactory and prices are competitive. Not exactly a Bravo Zulu, but a good start.

Terrible management. Employees not helpful- they will pretend not to see you and walk away. Lack of variety. Few items, MUCH less selection than other comparable stores. Even in usual items, this store is OFTEN out-of-stock. And be sure to check expiration dates- frequently they sell expired items, especially diary. Isn't the cheapest either.

Place serves moldy food to military families. Just know thats whats going on. Meanwhile the only employees there make no money so they just profit, largely off of these families away from there homes.

Competitive if not lower prices. Efficiency is great.

Self checkout should not be allowed for a $300 checkout. Took forever, at least you could offer a discount to pay me for doing your work. Customer service line does not need to be backed up for a big order like this on a Monday, it was already backed up!

Medium sized commissary— good selection of meats. Good deli. FFV good, as well.Staff are generally helpful; Some go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for.

Might not be worth it. The "tax savings" are eliminated by user and access fees. The fees combined are greater than the normal 6% so if you find something that has a significantly better price than you would find at a regular store it might be worth it. My experience for items I normally buy, it's cheaper to not shop at this commissary. Only positive is that this location is not on post so you don't have to go through a gate but that's about the only "benefit".

I have only wonderful things to say about this commissary! The people are always friendly and helpful. They will look in back for toilet paper and such during the pandemic. I love this commissary

Be careful. My last comment was removed from a year ago. I was treated like a second class citizen by an employee there till they saw my husband was Caucasian, then suddenly he was spoken to politely. When I complained to management, they admitted it was wrong how I was treated but didn’t want their employee to get in trouble. This was a year ago and I have not been back since then.

Small commissary compared to others that serve larger communities like Ft Meade. Pros: Good deals on staples and non perishables as well as frozen foods. They have a Freedoms Choice brand that offers something like off brand slightly lower pricing than the name brands the commissary has historically offered as sole options. Cons: Perishables like produce and meats tend to be a roll of the dice for freshness but careful selection can mitigate that. Number one issue is lack of enforced COVID guidance. Yes you have to wear a mask but patrons seem to largely disregard distancing if not COMPLETELY ignore it altogether. I will only shop there now during the absolute lowest traffic times. Local grocers have one way isles and other measures in place but the commissary does not.
