Just witnessed incredibly unprofessional behavior by a supposed manager toward an employee trying to respect the instructions they received from their department head. Will not be returning to this store!

Not worth the trouble to shop at. I am new to the area and had never been to a Safeway before and after two shopping trips will not be returning. The first time there was only one register open with a line, so I checked out in self checkout as it would be faster and it was empty. When I was almost done, I was told it is 15 items or less only for next time, okay no problem policy is policy. The 2nd time I headed to the register with a light on and there was nobody there nor in self checkout. We decided to go into the self checkout as there was not any employee s in sight. We got about a third of the way thru scanning, when the same employee who informed us of the policy last time came out and told us we had to get back in the register line. I understand it is policy, but I did not appreciate the employee insinuating that we were lying about nobody being upfront. If that is the policy , then the store needs to staff the front end accordingly. Despite of the product choices, prices and short distance, I will choose somewhere else to avoid the headache of checkout.

Zero never have vegetables or never have updated good fruit, never no one at customer service the store managers always walking around laughing with other workers or texting on phone the manager kierra is a rude smart woman and sadly it's no lines ever open I think they should shut this down it stinks and food is old

The meat department had a deal of 4 mix of match meats for $19.99, so I decided to buy beef and it look good, but after I got home and opened it to cook it; the other side was in a bad stage all yellow and discolored brownish and orange. This is dangerous for the people’s health. Please do better next time.

The Safeway on Forest Drive. Their manager has poor customer service on the phone with not helpful at all. Things need to change over that Safeway as well.

The worst grocery store I’ve ever been to. Customer service is awful, nothing is ever in stock, veggies and fruits are brown and outdated, carts and trash all over the parking lot and store. Annapolis deserves better, very disappointed in how this store is ran

Used curbside pick up multiple times. Found that I could've gone in and done the shopping myself faster than the wait in my car for them to bring me the groceries. Extremely frustrating.

THE GOOD-prefer this store over many alternatives for efficient shopping and fair pricing for staples and basics. The staff has always been very helpful and have pleasant attitudes and friendly customer interactions. It would be nice if there were smaller push carts to shop with. Here there are only the gigantic ones offered. THE BAD - The food selection could use some tweaks. Vegetable and fruit selections are limited and uninspired. There is too much floor space and the fixtures don't enhance the merchandise. Many brands offer low salt, reduced fat, options but this store is not on top of it. Recently the direction seems to have changed and not for the good. Half of an aisle of frozen food was turned over to assorted pizza. There is no need for 15 feet of pizza options. There is never anyone who is in the deli capable or willing to custom slice meats or cheese so one must purchase from their limited selection of pre-sliced meats and cheese. God forbid if you want a half or quarter pound of something only packed in 1 lb portions. BOTTOM LINE- what's going on here ? Is it management or corporate that's the issue?

Got tired of Giant's self-service computers yelling at me so I've made the switch. It was a joy to scan my items without being subjected to constant computer errors and cranky cashiers. I save as much with the Safeway card as i did with the Giant card. Store is clean and food quality is good. Parking lot is small and a bit messy but i always get a space.
