Hayley the Keys instructor was great. We did our free trial with her and my 9 year old daughter had a great experience. So we signed up for the program. At 9 she was placed in Rock 101. The kids were mostly younger than her, and it usually felt like glorified babysitting vs becoming a better musician.Huge communication disconnect re:homework/expectations between the private lesson, Rock 101 and the School of Rock app causing tears that could be avoided and much frustration for parents! We also tried one of the summer camps, signed up both kids. The fees included “Recording: campers will record their songs with camp directors so that they can share with family and friends!”.This was not so! I emailed to follow up to receive this keepsake of their song writing, and the school did not have a file to share.

My girls were skeptical going in but they really enjoyed learning the piano and singing.

As a parent of four musically inclined children, I can say without a doubt that the School of Rock experience is fantastic! We have lived all over the world and we have yet to find another program that challenges its students through not only music, but performances. It builds a camaraderie amongst the students that emphasizes the creation of music as a holistic product instead of a the sum of parts you get through traditional lessons. The team building, as well as the quality of the teachers, is a combo that can’t be beat. Highly recommended!

The staff at the Annapolis School of Rock is amazing. They are talented, thoughtful and creative. And most importantly, they take a real interest in the development of each student. I could not recommend the program more.

Love these folks! Everyone is friendly and professional, and my 8-year old has FUN while learning. I'm inspired to maybe try one of the adult bands eventually. :) GREAT place. :) :)

We have encouraged our 3 boys to try every activity under the sun, from horseback riding to sports to martial arts, in hopes that they’d find something they were super excited about. Two out of three of our boys found their PASSIONS with the School of Rock performance program. (third son enjoys SOR too, but music isn’t his major, MAJOR love.) They have done 1:1 lessons at other music schools with all different instruments and with really amazing teachers, but there is something about the format of SOR, with the opportunities to actually perform songs with a band, that makes it magic. My boys practice on their own and look forward to every lesson and every band rehearsal. Of course, SOR is also well-run and the teachers are incredible, but the kids’ joy is really the best indication of a top-notch experience. I have to say, we were very hesitant about spending the money because regular individual music lessons are less expensive, but I’m having a hard time putting a price on a true lifelong passion, skill, mood-elevator, confidence-booster, means for social-engagement, etc.

We appreciate the focus on music our kid actually WANTS to play and the individualized support he receives. The group performances are well thought-out and very inclusionary, allowing kids to stretch their wings by also doing backup instrumentation and vocals. Our son has grown tremendously in a very short time with School of Rock, both as a musician and with his personal confidence. We will continue as long as we can!

My daughter absolutely loves all the programs that are offered by School of Rock. Her instructor for private lessons, Ed, is so talented and works so well with her. All of the instructors that she has had for the group sessions and summer programs have been phenomenal as well. She gets so excited to go to "class". Her love for music has continued to flourish. The company's ability to adjust to the COVID shutdown and offer virtual private, group, and master classes has concreted my belief in this institution. Worth every penny!

I'm so glad that School of Rock opened near home. Taking drum lessons there has been fun and an invaluable learning experience. My drum instructor, Ryan Sadler, is brilliant!

Our son has had a great experience with the staff and students at School of Rock Annapolis over the last two years. He's grown both as a musician and as a performer and is challenged in so many positive ways to stretch and get out of his comfort zone. Starting with Rock 101 and moving into the performance program has been so much fun and exposed him (and us) to some incredible music and truly talented kids! Thank you SOR Annapolis!

This is the third year my boys have come to School of Rock Annapolis Advanced Camp. We come from West Virginia just to go to School of Rock (this is the closest one to us). Even though we are only part of School of Rock for one week out of the year the boys love their School of Rock family. The instructors are always awesome and are great at encouraging them. Year after year they get to play with the same kids and they have that summer camp camaraderie that is just so special. School of Rock Summer Camp really challenges the boys musically and with logistics of putting a band together and working together to get a concert out in 5 days. We love School of Rock.

I love School of Rock Annapolis! My son has been taking lessons and performing in shows there for a little over 2 years and he really loves it. I would recommend it for any kid that's interested in playing an instrument or singing. I am enrolled in the adult program and I love that too.
