Took the kiddos to swim, and we ended up playing basketball, soccer, and pickleball. Lol, we also utilized the open studios to practice dance and cheer routines. Very nice facility and staff. A few vending machines helped when the kids were craving snacks. Fun day for the kids and their friends.

Coming from out of town, my family& I used this facility & I think it could use a solid upgrade. Basketball courts are concrete in like a warehouse setting...I believe. And the pool is outside in a tent... almost as is this ymca was an after thought. But it did serve its purpose for my family..

I couldn’t find an instructor for my girls private swim lessons. I emailed 3 instructors and just one of them responded with denial because she is a teacher and has no time. I wish they have more instructors willing to train or it’s not worthy to pay the membership monthly payment.

Spacious facility. Front desks are okay helpful. Nice locker room with lockers that do not require you to bring a lock. The pool is smaller than the one in the Pasadena location.

My home gym is Pasadena. But I've been visiting here for the classes. I'm still learning my way around, any time I ask for directions, the staff has been very helpful. I would recommend this gym for anyone who loves group exercise.

My experience at the Y is becoming very frustrating. My son and his friends come to the Y just about everyday. They workout and use the basketball court. However, my son and his friends has made it known and asked why are the rims not been replaced or fixed. This is upsetting our children coming to the Y yet again to broken equipment. The broken rim is a liability and can harms someone. I am worried the Y does not care about our youth in our community. This is not just for leisure time but an amazing curriculum activity that can lead into an opportunity of a lifetime. It’s been months and we’re still getting unanswered questions. We pay for our sons to go to the Y because it’s safe but at this time it’s unpleasant and the customer service is dismissive. I expected change soon.

I can't give this gym five stars because of two main reasons, (1) there are waaay tooo many 5- to 8-year olds on actual adult equipment. The kids are unsupervised, running around, misusing the equipment, and playing on the equipment because they are too young to actually use it, and (2) the staff doesn't really know what's going on and can't answer any questions. But I absolutely ? love the facility. I come when I know there are no young children and that's been better. I don't use the showers, so I don't have to be around the areas that other people are complaining about in other reviews. Overall a good choice!

Because the pool is poorly maintained it closes frequently for mechanical issues. The pool staff also does a poor job communicating Schedule changes so you sometimes end up having to wait for a lane.

Nothing is organized, most all cable accessories are all over the place with carabiners to attach them being hard to find. Several of the wieght racks have only one of a dumbell making it difficult to actually work out

UNHELPFUL AND UNFRIENDLY STAFF - I came to this location to try a pilates / yoga class. I checked in at the front desk and told the 2 people there that it was my first time at the Arnold location and I was there for the yoga/pilates class. I asked where the locker room is and where the class is held. The front staff were the most unhelpful people I have ever interacted with. The lady at the desk just pointed in the general direction of the locker room and said it's that way. I asked where the class is and she told me a room # (which means nothing when I have never been in the building before). I walked in the direction that the lady pointed and did not see the locker room. I walked back and asked again. I had to wait for the 2 people to finish talking to each other to be able to ask again where the locker room is, and again, the lady pointed. By this time I was frustrated and asked "down the stairs, up the stairs, left hall, right hall, where is it because I didn't see it, and again, I have never been here before." Finally, the gentleman at the desk gave me specific directions: down the steps, left hallway, 2nd door (still refusing to leave the desk and show me). At least his directions were accurate and I found it, which only has a bathroom logo btw and why I did not notice it before. After changing, I again go to the desk and ask where the class is held. Once again, I was pointed in a general direction as neither of the staff could be bothered to show me to the room. I walked past the room btw, and had to ask someone who looked like they were going to yoga where the class is. I get in class, and ask where the mats are. The instructor told me I have to find one. Again, a member was the only one willing to help and told me they don't have enough for everyone in class so members hide the mats and told me where to find one. I get a mat and go to wipe it down and the cleaning station was empty. I asked the instructor where I can find wipes because the one at the door is empty. She told me they don't have any then. Again, a member helped me and told me where to get wipes. Not once did ANY staff member assist me during this visit. Not once was I made to feel welcome. It was a TERRIBLE experience all around. I obviously did not sign up for a membership at the Y and have not returned.

Hard to get someone on the phone. Easy to sign up online but very difficult to cancel once a member. There's better options out there.
