Friendly, helpful owner who was happy to accommodate me for a last minute brake pad and caliper exchange. Had every opportunity to upcharge me for an additional set of calipers but didn’t and that speaks volumes.Haven’t found a mechanic this honest in Washington so maybe I’ll just need to make a trip up here when I need work done.

took my car (2010 Dodge Avenger) in during March 2021 for transmission issues. According to the diagnosis, it was a computer issue.The car also needed a new battery and new brakes, as concludd by the diagnostics.It took a couple of weeks for the update.The first time in it took about a month or so in turn around, due to the computer part order, or so I was told. I was given the car back and told to give it a couple weeks to allow the new computer to calibrate.After the initial weeks, I called back, as there was no change in how the car was driving. I was told to bring the car back in.It was determined the computer part was defective and they needed to order another computer. I was told the computer was on back order because of a chip needed for the particular computer. This was all over the process of months. I believe this time I was given my car back around the end of September. I was told a used computer was put in temporarily because of the backorder and I would get a call when the party was back in stock. That never happened. Every time I called over the months, it's been busy or went to voicemail. I've left voicemails with no returned calls.On top of this, I received a DC parking ticket for my license plate number, for a white Hyundai (not my car) for late March 2021, which suggest my tag was taken from my car during the stay at the shop.

The mechanics at Auto Stop are kind, patient, and honest. I had a lot of repairs after being sold a lemon used car, and they worked with me to get to a reasonable price for a lot of problems. This place told me drop my car off by 8:30am so I did. I called them around 12:50pm and they told me my car did not even get looked at I asked was the service going be done today like I was told. I called them back at 3:00pm and when I asked if my car was looked at I was told I they have call me back so now I’m mad. I go to the business and was told oh sorry bring it back tomorrow like I can keep calling off of work or why even tell me to bring it Wed @8:30am if the car wasn’t going be worked on that day. DONT GO HERE

I've taken my vehicles to AutoStop for more than 15 years now and have consistently been happy with all aspects of their service. Recently I took my 2009 Scion XB in as it was not driven for more than 2 years and that resulted in many issues needing to be addressed. AutoStop brought it back to life and it is now running as good as ever. I'm pleased the new owner is as diligent, thorough and caring as the prior owner. Amazing place! Service and professionalism is unmatched. Their diagnosis and work has always been spot on and done to the highest standard. This is more than just an auto shop. Mechanics here seemed nice. They identified car's problem quickly and informed me about it. However they are a bit overbook at that time, and I had to wait another day to drop off my car regardless my reservation. They also did not accept warranty companies -- I admit that these companies are troublesome -- but it still kinda upsets me.

Doug was quite helpful and gave me the best deal with comparative pricing. I also listened to how he treated other customers coming in. There’s an old saying, “watch how someone treats other people, then you will know how they will treat you.” Very professional. RJ, the owner was quite helpful as well. My car stopped working in the middle of the road and I ended up breaking down across from Auto Shop Limited. I walked into the shop upset by the situation, and Harvey helped me calm down, rolled my car into the bay, and diagnosed the problem. They said that it would be done by the next day! When the owner, RJ, called I explained how I felt as if I should just get a new car and be done. He spoke to me and told me how that wasn’t a great financial decision in his opinion and was incredibly honest and helpful with all the questions I had. I think he had two incoming calls and he still spent time making sure I was comfortable with my decision. I went to pick up my car and Harvey was so incredibly lovely. The price was exactly as quoted and I was in and out. Not only did they fix my electric problem, but somehow my check engine light went off too! Now it’s running smoother than before. I wish I was able to say thank you to RJ before I left, so THANK YOU RJ and Harvey! I could not have picked a better place to break down.PS Not only are the services amazing, but seeing the positive relationships between staff and owner was fantastic as well. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! RJ and his staff will turn any customer into a friend. RJ is fair, honest and professional. I'm from out of state and RJ treated like a long time friend/customer. We spent 20 minutes talking about life before we even looked at my car. Bottom line is RJ and his staff truly care about people. I cannot recomend him enough. He's good for your soul.
