Budget reserves the right to cancel your reservation at the last minute but you must notify them 48 hours in advance or else you will be charged $75. For this simple reason I will take my business to Penske. No one likes double standards

Budget has been the only smooth part of our move. After u-haul did not have the van we reserved the day before our move, budget vans was there for the rescue. They had the vehicle we requested at the time we requested, but even better was how kind and helpful the two women were that worked in the Baltimore shop. We dropped off the van in New York and were also impressed with how kind and professional the NY budget vans location was.

Terrible terrible terrible customer service. I rented a car for 4 days and only needed it for 3. I was told at the time of rental that I would be able to return it a day early and not be charged for the 4th day. Upon returning the car they would not refund the 4th (unused day) and also would not give me the car back to use for the 4th day that was paid for.

This place is SO bad. We showed up there to pick up rental truck and, despite sending us a confirmation email, they told us there’s no truck. Extremely rude. Absolutely awful. They do not care if they inconvenience you!

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Two weeks ago, I scheduled a truck for a move. Received a confirmation email. Received a reminder email two days before scheduled move. Today, I call to modify my reservation. Am informed that "Oh, we don't have a truck, but we called to tell you." No phone call. No email. No missed call. No voicemail. Nothing. Thankfully U-Haul has a truck and says it will be there, so fingers crossed they're better than Budget because right now, anything is better than Budget!

I have an AWFUL experience with the Budget of Baltimore on E 25th St. The location never opened when I was supposed to drop off the truck I rented and rove from out-of-state. Called Customer Service who was NO HELP. Then, after one rep suggesting that we try dropping off our truck at a different location, Mimi from this location SAVED ME! She agreed to take my truck and didn't charge me (which according to Budget she could have)! Once I arrived, she was kind and very sympathetic...said how that location just does whatever they want and chooses when to open! How ridiculous! Anyway, Mimi at this location was extremely kind and understanding. She helped me out when I was at a very low point having just moved all my things from NY and just wanted to get rid of this truck. Thank you to the team for all of your help!

I went to pick up a rental truck today that I reserved online over a week ago. On Friday, I received a confirmation email reminding me of the reservation for Sunday. When we got there, 6 minutes after they opened, the rental agent told us they never had the truck or the tow dolly we had reserved. The only truck that they had available had just been rented. The agent told us that the online customer service will book anything whether it's available or not; and that he never had the truck we reserved. He gave us a pamphlet with a customer service number on it and told us they could find a truck. Then he proceeded to go about his business, leaving us standing there, until we realized he was finished interacting with us. He never apologized for the situation that Budget Rental put us in or offer to help us find another truck. We are moving today across the country. We had reserved a spot in the city for the truck and asked family and friends coming to help us - all for a truck that we apparently never had. Now we're left scrambling to try to find a truck last minute for us to move today. I'm appalled at the customer “service†that we received. I don't understand the point of reserving a truck ahead of time if it was never even available in the first place. Budget rental has put us between a rock and a hard place during an already stressful event like moving. AVOID this rental location at all cost.

I will NEVER step food in this Budget again!!!!! I was with friend of mine and the employee at the location would not give us a car because my friend was LGBT and had lost weight and looked a tad bit different from the identification provided. Even after giving a second and third form of ID with credit card he kept smiling and asking are you sure this is you. My friend had been to this location several times before, and they were disrespectful then as well. I've never seen homophobia like this in my life. It's embarrassing and unprofessional. Don't come here go to the one at the hotel off of Fayette.

We rented a truck and trailer from this location because they were able to make our reservation for 8am. It is now 830 and no one has come to open or answered their phones. And it doesn't even look like they have our reserved truck size and trailer in the lot. The corporate customer service is closed and no one else at the company could help. We were just told to wait. Extremely rude customer service (and lack of service entirely). We will not be renting from Budget again.
