I came into this Burlington yesterday to shop for a coat and asked to use the restroom while in the store. I was told there was no public bathroom — even for customers. When I asked for clarification, I spoke with the manager, Dave, who did not explain the policy at all and simply stated, “It’s not for customers,” and left it at that.
The response was rude and dismissive. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this has happened to many customers, including people who spent hundreds of dollars and were still denied restroom access. This policy, along with how it’s communicated, makes for a very poor customer experience. I left without purchasing anything and won’t be returning to this location.

These people are so petty!!! Just because they dont want to keep the restroom clean they won’t allow paying customers to use them. The manager quoted, “ yeah the restrooms are not for customers” even though the sign outside the restroom says to get a code from them to access.

The entryway was blocked by a security guard. She was very methodical about us entering. I understand her job, but she didn’t have to be so uptight.

Absolutely ridiculous. This Burlington—and the Marshalls below it—refuse to let paying customers use the restroom. No signs, no warning, just a flat-out no, even after making a purchase.
If you have kids or a bladder that isn’t made of steel, skip this place entirely. I had to abandon my shopping to deal with something that should’ve been a non-issue.
I’m not spending money at any business that treats basic human needs like an inconvenience. Frankly, it feels like a health code violation—and it’s definitely a customer service failure.

Burlington is a great place to shop for a wide range of items—bags, clothes, toiletries, and even a few snacks and chocolates. It’s a one-stop store that offers good variety without being too expensive. Ideal for budget-friendly shopping across categories.
