Chesapeake Bank goes the extra mile. After 30 years of banking with them both business and personal, i can tell you that their customer service is outstanding and their business practice is about the people they serve. Thank you to Eric Rebbert for all his assistance as we managed through covid due to his knowledge and effort with regard to the PPP forgiveness loans. Chesapeake cares about the well being of their customers.

Enjoy personal attention. A local bank; they know you by name. Branch manager, Ginger Coppersmith, has made me feel welcomed and well served since our first meeting. My small business received stellar guidance through the government pandemic financial relief programs. Shout out to Eric Rebbert and Matt Mullen for that.

I recently had an opportunity to utilize the services of the Chesapeake Bank in Arbutus and would like to recognize the associates of that branch starting with the Branch Manager Kim. Kim was very pleasant and helpful as were all of the ladies at that branch.Their customer service skills are excellent and when observing their interactions with their customersit was obvious that the associates and customers have a fond relationship of each other sending well wishes to members of theirfamily etc. They seem to be very happy with their job and work well as a team. It’s so nice to see their friendly, upbeat and positive behavior despite the negative things that are going on in the world today. I’ve shared my positive experience with friends and members of my family because it left me with such hope and satisfaction that thereare STILL great people in this world!As a former healthcare manager I always feel it is important to pass on recognition to employees.It not only lets them know they are valued but encourages them to continue promoting the business and leaving others with a great impression of their place of employment. Great bank, especially the Arbutus branch. It's nice to go to a bank where it seems like everyone knows each other. Whether you know it or not, it's the bank all your neighbors are using. If you don't believe me, walk into the Arbutus branch and I guarantee you'll know half the people in there.

HORRIBLE BANK. We had a mortgage with them from 2016-2019 and I have never experienced more issues ever. This was our 5th mortgage and coincidentally we never had one issue with any other mortgage company prior. You can only pay the mortgage via a check that is sent in the mail and again coincidentally the mail was “lost” and blamed on USPS multiple times. The VP and the president, among other employees, were absolutely no help on MULTIPLE occasions. The 3 years we used them I have 127 EMAILS that I sent to them for all the issues and mistakes. One of the months they claimed they never received the check (which was a common occurrence) so I mailed another one. They cashed them both within 3 days of each other after the other “was lost in the mail.” I spent $500 in check cancellation fees over the 3 years. We lived about 2 hours + from the bank so dropping off a check was not convenient each month. The list goes on. We PRAYED our mortgage would get sold to another company but didn’t. Then to top it off they reported to the credit bureaus for late payments when neither of us EVER had a late payment on our credit and we each had credit scores in the mid to high 700’s. We only chose them bc they offered a construction to permanent loan but we regret ever giving them business. RUN AWAY from this bank!

I have been a client of Chesapeake bank for years, and I would not dare bank anywhere else. They are a great financial institution with a hometown feel. I consider the folks that work there my friends. Always smiling and happy to see you. Deva really enjoys her visits too.

My dad and I have been using Chesapeake Bank of Maryland for both our personal accounts and for his business, Absolute Automotive, for years now and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and they let me bring my dog Cash in and feed him treats and hotdogs every Friday night! 5/5 would reccomend.

This IS a neighborhood bank. Tellers know everyone. There's never a long wait as they are always well staffed, they still believe in people to people transactions and don't try to force customers to use any automated teller systems. Couldn't be more pleased.
