Update: Used to be better quality gluten free items. Nearly a $5 muffin and I can’t eat half of it due to paper being stuck to it. The gluten free sandwiches have less fillings now. The frozen coffees are the same as before.Wonderful shop relocated to Chestnut ave. It’s a warm and friendly kind of coffee shop. I enjoy getting school work done here. Internet has never failed me. Lots of really well rounded food options on the menu. Gluten free items can be made or selected from their pastry options. I recommend the frozen coffees. ??

I love this place. I usually get my signature Iced vanilla chai latte w/ almond milk and it's sooo good. the almond milk they use is great. My only complaint is there's rarely ever any snickerdoodle muffins. I've come a handful of times and 2 times were the only chance I was able to get my hands on one. I would say maybe make more if they're so popular or make more at two separate times. I usually don't get a chance to go during weekdays and only weekends and never get them on weekends. But lovely place a staff (:

Horrible place, never go. Health department closed it. Was dirty when I went. Better coffee elsewhere. Also they have posted anti-Semitic posters. Bad place, bad people.

If a struggling artist were to receive $15 to treat themselves, where do they go?The place that has generous portions? The place with good vibes and warm, genuine people? The place with great muffins and palate-pleasing coffee drinks? The place where a genuine meetup with a friend, a creative flow session, or a community gathering on the sunny patio are all encouraged? No need to make the distinction with Common Grounds - it fits the bill! From monthly specialty drinks like the Rose Kiss to the wonderful *and huge* vegan muffins, the lovely folks at Common Grounds are doing it right. Did I mention C.G. is a worker-owned hub? So, community is a big part of what they're about, which translates to the artistic crowd, the retired, the pet parent, the community activists, and the family all being welcomed equally. And they open earlier than most spots! So, to my early-risers, welcome home!Dietary restrictions: At least 2-3 vegan and 1-2 gluten free muffins options.Kid-friendliness: There were young children inside and on the patio. Everyone is chill and warm towards the kiddies:) It's not a big space inside for them to run about or anything. But the patio offers more space for them to move about freely.

So glad this was reopened! Staff is welcoming and the whole place has a cute and cozy vibe which is missing in a lot of other shops. The pastries are amazing, just tried the almond croissant. Great coffee too!

Employee owned business. It's a great spot to grab some breakfast and coffee in Hampden.

If your closing time is 3, closing the kitchen 10, 15, or 20 minutes beforehand is complete nonsense. Why is anyone being penalized for coming in during your stated open hours, but then unable to order what they came there for?
