We have had one burning in our showroom in Media Pennsylvania for over a year now and it is a great stove. Puts out a lot of heat and it looks great. Very user-friendly. It is one of our top stoves with our clients.

We love our new stove. We have used it several times and have been really enjoying it. I like that it doesn't have a damper control, makes it easier to manage.

My wife and I were searching for a wood stove for a few years before finding MF Fire. We previously lived in a house with an old (70's era) wood stove and very much missed having a stove when we moved. The Nova is beautiful and extremely easy to operate (old stove was a lot of work). Load it up, light and go. So easy to use, glass stays clean for a long time. We purchased in late 2018 and had it installed in early 2019. No regrets. MF Fire was very helpful both pre and post-purchase. We are going to buy a Delta fire pit next!

I bought one of the very first Catalyst wood stoves. 1st the good parts: It's beautiful. It's a cool concept. The ordering process was easy and the people at the company were pleasant. OK now the bad parts: It does not burn wood. All the kindling burns away and the log remains half unburned. I've had wood stoves for years and I never had this issue with any other wood stove. The combustion FAN is so LOUD you can't hear yourself think. Imagine lighting a romantic fire; suddenly a fan nearly as loud as your vacuum cleaner kicks on and everyone leaves the room. The fan is automatic and the only way to shut it off is to unplug the whole unit; then it's no longer a smart stove. The fan runs LOUDLY for 40-60% of the burn cycle. A $4K wood stove should be about romance; this stove does NOT deliver romance. Is the stove clean burning? There is no visible particulate coming out of the chimney which is awesome, but every time I open the stove to reload with wood - my house fills with smoke. The clean smoke goes up the chimney and the dirty smoke goes inside your house. I open the door slowly and turn off the circulation fan like the manufacturer recommends, but I still can't reload wood into the stove without a ridiculous amount of smoke pouring into my home. The glass on the wood stove doesn't clear itself as well as other wood stoves do. The glass soots up and then you can't really see the fire so then what's the point?!? The stove does heat well. It has a thermostat that measures the temperature of the room and knows when to automatically increase the rate of burn to make the room warmer. That sounds good in concept, but when the combustion fan ROARS to life to increase the burn rate while you're in the middle of a quiet conversation sitting by the fire... well, that's when you wish you had your old dumb stove back. The mobile app that controls the fire is OK, but sometimes glitchy. As a privacy warning, the usage data collected by the wood stove is auto-shared with the manufacturer. When I called the manufacturer about a glitchy app they knew all the times I had used the stove. I didn't like that big brother creepiness. I don't know how to opt out of that privacy issue other than running the stove unplugged (which I do most of the time). With the stove unplugged it is a mediocre "dumb stove". It has a very porous grate under the part where the wood burns that allows all the ash and embers to fall down into an ash pan and therefore the firebox doesn't build up a hot base of embers that encourages the log to smolder. When my stove arrived it was broken in shipping. The company replaced it no fuss, but the 2nd one was also broken. The 2nd damage was cosmetic and the company shipped out a replacement part. It was a couple months from initial order till I got a non-broken stove in my home. Then I realized that the stove pipe has to go straight up about 2 feet before it can make a 90 degree angle to vent through the wall. That vertical portion of the vent pipe is to accommodate the attachment of the massively loud fan. I missed that design feature when I was in the ordering process. It meant I had to spend thousands of $$$ to drill a new hole through the brick in my hearth and rebuild my chimney because the vent hole from my old wood stove was too low to accommodate the necessary height of the Catalyst vent. So, I invite some people over for the big reveal of this massively expensive wood stove. I light up the Catalyst for the 1st time and then CAUSTIC SMOKE EVERYWHERE. The stove contained some residual chemicals in the manufacturing process that had to burn off (like a new oven does) and it was so poisonous everyone had to leave. It was about 4 burn cycles of 3 hrs before I stopped noticing the chemical smell. Long story short. I really wish I had my old dumb wood stove back. I was so invested into the process of making this Catalyst work I let my return period lapse before realizing this is a very beautiful but non-fun
