You know, it's generally not bad. It feels a bit cluttered when they have stock sitting out blocking aisles, but it isn't a disorganized mess. People actually ask if you need help and seel to know what they are talking about. Register people are generally friendly. Overall, it was a good experience.
What prohibits 5 stars is the same thing I see at so many chain pet shops: fish tank issues. I can't buy fish here. They do offer some sort of guarantee, I believe, but check with the team to be sure. Also, never buy a fish from a tank with a dead fish in it.
Live pets are getting pricey, but I don't believe that's the retailer's fault.

Curbside pick up sucks. The first time I use curbside pick up, I sit there after pressing the “I’m here” button and NO ONE comes out. Finally when I get up to see what the hold up is they tell me if I park in the curb they can help put the items in my car, ummm??? Was anyone going to tell me I ask and she said I have to call?? CALL? How was I supposed to know when these were my only instructions. I clicked the I’m here button- no where does it say to call the store or park literally near the curb where might I add impedes traffic. If the workers aren’t allowed to cross to get to the cars (which is not that far from the store) then why is this an option? Not the lady’s fault I understand but I do wish this was communicated to me before I just sat there.

If I could give a negative star rating, I would. After happily shopping at this Petco for the past 14 years, I recently had the worst experience ever. As a 25+ year aquarium hobbyist with over four tanks at home, including a 220-gallon Discus tank, I often make large purchases of fish. On January 9, 2025, I attempted to return fish that didn't survive, well within Petco's 30-day policy. However, the store leader, Megan, refused to accept my return due to the large number of fish. She also informed me that I was no longer allowed to buy any fish from them moving forward. Not only did she refuse to sell me any fish, but she also denied my return of a previous purchase, which was well within the company's return policy.
Since this incident, I have learned that Megan made a note on my Vital Care account, instructing employees not to allow me to purchase anything in the store. I have since called Petco corporate with Complaint #10487318. In all my years of shopping here, I have never experienced such treatment from any associate at this store.

Got a salt water fish from there and it was sick and ended up dieing the same night once I got it home let’s just say they don’t watch out for there fish being sick and will still sell it to the customer and let’s just say it’s a 100$ fish and they won’t do nothing about it or give a refund

They don’t even deserve 1 star but in order to leave any kind of review you have to. This store is unacceptable, does not care for their reptiles properly and lies to customers about their care. I will never shop at any petco again for any of my animals. The manager here is very unprofessional and disrespectful as well. They will not stand up and do what is right for the reptile they adopted out to my child.

Returned a bag of dog food ordered by my husband in error. Was not needed.
Was returned w/o any problems for online refund at Golden Ring/MD store.
Store clerk was very efficient & respectful.

Had a nice trip until it came time to cash out. I love the Rosedale Location and I drive an extra 10 Minutes to shop at that particular one. Tonight was the very first bad experience I’ve had there. After noticing i was being watched, it was weird but whatever. I continued on shopping and when it came time to check out the same employee that was following me came up to the front following behind me and stood there and as i was getting ready to be rang up by Joe (who was polite, understanding, and very apologetic for his coworkers behavior). I informed Joe that I have a few items to price match. The employee Dan who I know now is the manager speaks to me from almost 2 registers away very confrontational. I was caught off guard by his behavior and as soon as i went to ask a question about “ The Policy” and when it started, Dan just went on attack mode and even as i was staying quiet he continuously keep being disrespectful. I told him I’d like to buy my stuff and leave and he told me I can get out of HIS store and never come back. I don’t know if Dan a bad day or what was going on at the location today. After going back and forth for a few minutes because I’ve never had an issue like this at any Petco location I’ve ever shopped at, he told me he couldn’t match the prices and that he can’t apply my vital rewards discount. I was able to purchase a few things which would have been fine with me if he would have just talked to me like a person instead of being so confrontational about something so small. I haven’t felt this disrespected in a very long time. I can write so much more about this incident but I know for a fact that Dans behavior and lack of communication skills are not what Petco wants for their customers. It’s a Dan Problem. It’s not what was being said it was the way it was being said. Why so angry and aggressive?? 3 stars and none of them are for Dan.Thank you Joe for being respectful and understanding where I was coming from in the situation.

Stood there patiently waiting.. as the associate helped someone else take over 15 minutes to get a whole bird. Decides to finally come after 3 people have been waiting and says there is a policy of no live feeder fish sold before closing time… as I sat there well before closing time waiting. Wasting my time putting in a review because people actually will read it. Over Some feeder fish though smh…
