Unacceptable Customer Service and Poor Inventory Management
UPDATE: Asking me to reach out via "contact us" is rich considering my review reveals that I did for the MOLDY ricotta cheese and was completely ignored. You didnt respond the last time I contacted you.
Original Review: I am incredibly disappointed in Safeway's handling of my recent order, and I am officially done giving this store my business. My request was simple: I asked for an additional package of sausage to replace the meatballs they were out of. Instead of accommodating this very reasonable ask, I was met with dismissive responses like, "We’ll just change the flavor." For the record, this isn’t acceptable—this food is for my household, and we have dietary restrictions, including allergies.
When I called to clarify, the representative on the phone said, "Uh, I’ll ask, but no promises." Excuse me? I'm not asking for a favor—I'm the customer, and all I wanted was to purchase the items I requested. The attitude I received was completely unprofessional, as if doing the bare minimum to fulfill my order was some sort of inconvenience.
This isn’t the first issue, either. I’m still waiting for a response regarding the moldy ricotta that was delivered weeks ago. I’ve heard nothing but silence from customer service. It’s clear that inventory management at this store is subpar, with constant inaccuracies causing major inconveniences for customers.
I’ve canceled my free delivery subscription, and I won’t be shopping here again. This is not how you treat loyal customers. Safeway, you’ve lost what was a consistent, twice-a-week customer because of your inability to manage your store, communicate effectively, or even show basic customer service.

The prices are beyond infatuated for the Community. Its very disrespectful. They never have enough cashiers working making the lines long. The 15 items or less & self check out line was over 10 people waiting and moving slowly.

Visited this store for a money order the day before Thanksgiving. The red flag for me was that they only accept cash for money orders, so I was forced to use their ATM. Today, I found out that my account was hacked, stating hundreds of dollars was withdrawn from the ATM at that store. I have not purchased anything from that store since November. This incident occurred on 1/2/25 while my card was in my possession.
