I would love to rate this service higher, but... This service wouldn't even rate one star were it not for the service people themselves, who are very good. We have used Sears twice now, once for a Kenmore washer (last year) and the service person was great. Happened to have the part on hand and fixed the washer in fairly short order. Second time was Monday, December 11, 2023 and David, our repair person, diagnosed the problem with our KitchenAid oven, ordered the necessary replacement part (it arrived in four days), and scheduled follow up service to install the replacement part, which should have been today (December 18, 2023, sometime between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM). Close to noon, I received a message that the service call would need to be rescheduled - for the following Tuesday, December 26. Half my day wasted for no good reason. We will be out of town the week of December 26 and wanted to reschedule. That's when the nightmare began. Called the number listed at the top of their home page and was guided through the options. I was told (via the AI bot) that my December 26 appointment was confirmed and given the option to either cancel or reschedule. When selecting the option for rescheduling, I was rerouted to the message confirming my December 26 appointment, This circle jerk could have continued forever. Online chat was not much different. I was given a series of dates for the last week in December, and when I elected to reject all of them, I then selected the option to schedule further out. I was then give the same last week of December dates. Another circle jerk. Further, the email I received concerning my December 26 appointment has a link for cancelling or rescheduling my appointment, That link takes me to the page detailing my appointment - with absolutely no way, other than chatting with the AI bot, to cancel or reschedule. With no way to either talk with a human or to even email, this service is a giant screw up. Seriously thinking about cancelling my service contract. Unless and until they can provide reasonable customer service interaction, I cannot recommend this service, which is unfortunate since the service people with whom I have dealt are very good.

Julian arrived at the time promised during his confirmation call. He was considerate of the fact that I was working from home during his visit. He promptly diagnosed the issue with our dryer and offered an additional service that was needed. The repair was completed way quicker than I expected and he was in and out in no time so that I could get back to my regular routine. I appreciate his professionalism and we are so happy that we don’t have to purchase a new dryer! Thanks again Julian!!Service: Dryer repair

Malik came in and was able to fix an issue after taking my dryer apart and putting it back together several times. I know it was getting frustrating but he figured it out and I have a working dryer for the first time in 2 weeks! Great service!Service: Dryer repair

I recently had an unfortunate encounter with the service provided by a technician from Sears Home Services, who was sent to install the icemaker in our Samsung Refrigerator. The overall experience left much to be desired, and I regret to say that it fell short of our expectations. a person named Rachel, whom I believe is associated with the company, advised us that the installation was an easy fix and that we didn't require a technician's assistance at all. While we appreciate any cost-saving suggestions, her approach was brusque and somewhat dismissive. It is essential to remember that not everyone possesses the same level of technical know-how, and that's why we initially sought professional help. Rachel's rudeness and lack of empathy during our conversation added to the overall unpleasantness of the experience. Customer service representatives should exhibit patience and understanding when dealing with customers, regardless of their level of technical knowledge. In conclusion, our experience with the technician and Rachel's interaction was disheartening and failed to meet the high standard of service we anticipated. I recommend that Sears Home Services takes immediate action to rectify these issues and ensures that future customers receive the top-notch service they deserve.Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

I have had Sears cancel and reschedule appointments for a riding mower repair on 3 occasions. The most recent cancelation was today. They were supposed to come yesterday, and if I hadn't called, we wouldn't have known it was canceled. It was rescheduled for today, and when I checked the status of the appointment, it was scheduled for August. Not professional.

I went thru my AHS. Both techs that came were awesome. Professional and respectful! First tech, Kalid found the problem right away although he had to order parts. It didnt take long. Delivery took 3 days. Second tech, John, he went beyond repairs and also cleaned out what was left in my dryer. He also gave me advice about getting my ducts cleaned out. That was very nice of him.Service: Dryer repair

A $20 kit on Amazon and a 7min YouTube video will help you fix a noisy bearing in a wash/dry combo but sears home service wants to charge you $1,000 for two people to come change the bearing in a dryer that takes about an hour if you don’t know what you’re doing while you watch a YouTube video w a basic set of tools. What a racket! They gave me a 10% discount on a new $1200 unit though. ???? Do yourself a favor and find someone who knows what they are doing with appliances.

If there was a negative star I would give it. The most incompetent company ever ( alongside Cinch Home Warranty). My AC went out 6/11/2023. You guys were contracted by Cinch ( The king of incompetence) to fix my AC. The sears HVAC tech came out (6/14/2023) to diagnose the problem. He was not really sure with the exact issue and says it can be the inside unit Fan blower or mother board. He goes with the issue being the Fan blower (although unsure) and orders that part alone and reschedules for 6/21/23 between 8am - 5pm. I stayed home all day waiting for the HVAC tech and he calls around 6 pm and says he forgot to pick up what HE ordered from the store and that the store is closed now so he has to reschedule my service appointment for 6/28/2023 (an additional week later). Additionally, as mentioned before, the fan blower could only be part of the issue and motherboard would also need to be changed. When I reached out to the Cinch case manager about this issue the manager said they would have to come first and put the new blower fan in and if that doesn't fix the AC they then have to reschedule to replace the motherboard also ,meaning probably close to a month without AC in middle of the summer. They have no care about their customers and this company makes NO effort to get an HVAC tech with all the parts that need replacement out tomorrow. Their HVAC tech forgot the parts so he should come back tomorrow with the parts to finish the job not delay me another week. I have a family with a toddler and the house being this hot is a health hazard for such a young child. Oh, yes my wife is also 8 months pregnant, so it is also a health hazard for her also. One of the worst companies I have ever come across. Two terrible companies not to use Cinch and Sear. Warning to all!
