This looks like a good place when you want to open up an account the one man was very nice when we first started . But from when we set up an account me and my husband couldn’t access it. We called from help multiple times and all the people said go to your online baking but we couldn’t access the online banking . It said my account didn’t exist same as my husband’s card when we clearly could use the card and had money in it . Something is every suspicious to because we had deposit money in the account one time and it didn’t even register it at all and it said we had less money in the account but we had proof that we had more money in it. Then my card stopped working after trying to use it was declining but my husband card was working we called at they said that my card was reported as lost . I NEVER called and reported it as lost and neither did my husband. so we kept explaining that to the customer service people but they didn’t get it . They said they sent us a new card but we never received anything new. Keep in mind I was really frustrated and angry so I had to calm down and my husband spoke and rudely he said “ mame can you speak for your self “ and thats when I lost it and I said “ I can speak for me self but I have to calm down” because I was about to lose it further.so we ask them Look at the transaction in the new card the first guy said it’s 9 charges told us the total then transfers us to the fraud department. It’s seemed for 15 minutes we kept having to repeat over and over agin the situation and finally the guy got into look at our transactions and said there were 15 charges we asked him the total and never gave it . And he found out more information that someone had called and reported the car was Stolen but the first guy said they reported as lost. And the. Said do you know anyone who would do this and we said we don’t know anyone. So they put in a claim waiting to hear back. OVERALL don’t use this bank it’s just not safe and it makes it worse that these people can access your information and money but you can’t.

They put my payroll check on hold for 8days even I’m begging them to remove the on hold coz I need to buy formula for my baby but they don’t care they keep saying it’s their policy. I will close my account t here and will not trust them

My father has an account with this bank and sent me a $100 check. I went there to cash it and they literally charged me $8 to cash this check!!!! I can't even imagine that's legal.. an 8% check cashing fee ??

Won't accept cash for a car payment for someone who is sick and can't write a check or visit the bank, because the person whose name is on the account is the only person who can pay in cash apparently. What a ridiculous policy.

Horrible customer service. Their phone support is in the Philippines. How does that help me here in Maryland? I was told by the branch manager that someone would reach out in two days. NOPE! No call, ever. Needless to say, they are no longer my bank.

I was a Suntrust customer for years when BB&T took it over. At that juncture, it became impossible to even find a rep in my branch to assist me. After months of bad service, disrespect by the bank employees, fees that never were charged before, I decided to close the account.I generated an online check to Morgan Stanley on or about January 27. The website indicated that Morgan Stanley would receive the check today, February 3. Today is the 3rd and Morgan Stanley hasn't received the check. I attempted to get into my account on the 1st, to confirm, but found I was locked out. When I called, the wait time was 20 minutes and so I opted for a call back appointment for today at 10:00am. NO ONE called. I then called again and was told my wait time was 25 minutes: I waited almost an hour. At that point a rep, whose accent was so thick that I could barely understand her, told me the account had been closed on February 1 - and it would now take 7-10 days for that check to get to Morgan Stanley.This is completely irresponsible, and I would venture to say illegal, of the bank to retain my money for what will be almost 3 weeks. I have requested written proof of that check being generated and that it will in fact reach its destination today. If I get no response, I am turning this over to a lawyer.It has been these and other constant problems and rudeness that has forced me to leave your bank. I will do my best to inform everyone I know who banks with you to close their accounts because of your unprofessional business practices.

The story is too long to go into completely. Just know this, this bank is a thief! I had an incorrect charge to my account that took my balance below zero. I called Truist to let them know that there was an issue with the charge. They offered NO help or protections of my money. They told me to deal with the merchant who charged me incorrectly. Zero assistance. It took me 2 weeks to have the merchant refund my account which should have bought my account back to a positive balance. During the 3 weeks in total that this issue was occurring Truist stole $252 in over draft fees from my account. They were charging me for over drafts caused by the over draft fees and incorrect charge from the account. When I called to complain, they offered no help! They said they will TRY to get me a refund on 2 or 3 of the over draft fees. But would have to get back to me!I asked them to stop paying out charges on my account to avoid more over draft fees. They said they couldn't do that. I ask them to close my account, and they couldn't do that over the phone. They told me, during the middle of a global Covid pandemic, I HAVE TO go into a branch and meet with a rep in person to cancel my account. Now in order to stop the never ending loop of $36 fees, I have to risk my health and physically go into a branch to cancel my account!!! And I am out what will be more than $300 in bank fees. Take whatever money you have in this bank and RUN to another bank. Bank of America has dropped their over draft fees down from $36 to $5 and offer protection from incorrect charges, because they care about their customers and aren't a bunch thieves.

Large amount of money missing from my account for about 3 weeks now. No one will explain to me why this has happened, where my money is, nor what they are doing about it. They have repeatedly told me to wait several more days, and maybe some of it may be resolved. No customer service, no explanation of process, no explanation of when my money will be returned, nor what to do if it is stolen from my account. Nothing, 5 x's now, have been told to give the, several more days and maybe we they will resolve it. No way to contact anyone over their head. Have complained to everyone I can image to try to find someone to help me get my money back. Ask them if I need to call the police to file a report about my money being stolen, they me told threats do not scare them. I don't want to scare them. I just want to protect myself and get my money back and some peace of mind. I will never do banking with them again. They truly don't care that I am missing large amounts of money. This is unethical, I do not understand how they can legally get away with this. Protect yourself, do not do business with them.

BB&T is now Truist bank. I've had nothing but problems ever since. The branch that I went to in Timonium was filled with people that were having issues. I'm taking my money elsewhere.
