Was happy to make it in here for my short Maryland trip. Inside the woman was welcoming & kind. I got some tea for my room & a candy cane soap bar.

They sell unique high-quality hand-made items. Every tiny thing in this store is a piece of art. The prices are not low, but quality is great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

You've gotta check out this place, interesting stuff, much of it from India. The thing is is that for a boutique this size, prices are extremely reasonable, the selection is wide, and the items are very high quality. Stop by, you won't be disappointed!

The store was nice upon arrival...until we met Jean...she followed us around the store telling us the price of everything when we asked for the price of not a single item..But we were very polite. Eventually she told me I looked like I couldn't afford almost anything in the store, which was alarming because I was wearing diamonds and Fendi. I was there with my children and the ignorant comment was quite discomforting. She also made an ignorant comment about her own coworker as soon as she left the store for her break saying "she's not Indian, she's Guatemalan" but NOBODY ASKED. The experience was so unsettling I'd never ever give them my money.

Ten Thousand Villages is like a combination museum, gift shop, global cultural exhibit, and craft showroom. The first thing that caught my eye was some coffee mugs with floral designs that made me think of Turkish ceramics. When I enquired, I learned that, in fact, these had arrived newly from Turkey as a way to support local crafts in this time of earthquake recovery. There were bright textiles from India, and I bought two cat print tea towels. I could not pass up the chocolate bars from Ghana and the coffee beans from East Africa. The staff are always attentive and knowledgeable, so a visit is always educational.

I came to the store today looking for Christmas gift ideas. The items I saw and photographed were beautiful and the prices seemed very reasonable. The sales clerk was very nice and allowed me to take a few pictures so I could have something to remind me when it comes time to do my holiday shopping. Very nice experience.

This store has long been a staple of Fells Pt. They have grown so much. I love the selection of handmade crafts that support women's initiatives around the world. Today I bought some beautiful handmade cards and a unique gift fir an optometrist.
