The 8x10 is a beloved live music venue located in Baltimore's Federal Hill district. Known for its cozy, gritty atmosphere, it offers a great place to see both local and national touring acts up close and personal. The venue features a balcony that provides a wonderful view for attendees, although it is sometimes closed, so visitors should check the calendar. The venue is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, who ensure a positive experience and good sound quality. Visitors often highlight the safe, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere created by the owners and staff, making it a favorite spot for music lovers. The venue's space can get crowded, and parking is challenging, so arriving early is advised. The bar staff are attentive and knowledgeable, offering good drink recommendations. Clean bathrooms and a vibrant crowd add to the overall enjoyment. Although not open every day, The 8x10 hosts a variety of shows and remains a top choice for those seeking live music in Baltimore. Its community-oriented culture and dedication to quality make it a standout spot for fans of all ages.
Been a number of years since I visited the 8 x 10. So good to be back. Chris Jacobs and friends celebrated Jerry Garcia with a kick ass show. Ed Hough crushed it on drums and vocals. It coincided with the 60th anniversary Dead show in San Fransisco. The 8 x 10 was an outstanding alternative.
