The Baltimore Art Gallery in Hampden is a really special place and a lovely staple in the neighborhood. The gallery delivers accessible, local, and original art, focusing on Baltimore-themed and Baltimore-rooted creations. It is a treasure trove of some of the best art in the city, featuring beautiful depictions of local landmarks, unusual snapshots of Baltimore, and unique creations from local artists. The shop is very nice and inviting. It carries a wide variety of art on canvas, with art that ranges in size and price, ensuring there is something for everyone. The gallery is as much for the artists as it is for the art lovers and likers, living its mission of making art more accessible. The people are really great, easy to work with, welcoming, and do a great job of promoting the artists and explaining different styles. They also offer in-store framing. It is a great local art gallery highly recommended for browsing or attending events.
It's nice seeing and being able to purchase work from local artists. They rotate artists so you get to see new work often. We go in just to see what's new even if we don't buy every time. The people here are super friendly and we love the art we've got from them.

We commissioned Kristin to do a custom painting of a Maryland shore wetland scene after seeing the quality of her other artwork, and it was perfect. Really great people and easy to work with. And their shop is very nice and inviting!
