I purchased a 10” truck today and it was terrible and dangerous, while driving it made noises and the steering was acting crazy and to top it off the tires needed air. Very disappointed and I couldn’t get a dime off that horrible truck.

Do not store anything here, there is no pest management. We moved our belonging here while our house was being renovated. When we went to move our belongings back home, we found our stuff covered in rodent droppings. I'm talking on every surface, in boxes. Nothing was left untouched. Our belongings would have been better off in the construction site as opposed to paying to have mice run over everything. Please do not store your belongings here. Also, "climate controlled" is a bit of a joke. It was about 40 degrees in the unit as we moved out in January.

the rep was openly hostile and rude for no reason. UNPROFESSIONAL CONFRONTATIONAL...and not knowledgeable...at least she didn't give accurate and complete information. WHY IS SHE WORKING WITH PEOPLE????FEEL FRR TO CALL ME FOR MORE INFORMATION.

First, let me start at the beginning with the reservation. While inquiring about a truck rental, I was recommended to go online to reserve a truck. No problem. On arrival 11/17 to retrieve the truck at the Loch Raven Blvd location I encountered a discrepancy with the cost. I was going to be charged literally $250 more than what was priced after reservation. My reservation online was for a 15ft truck, 2 utility dollies, 1 furniture dolly and insurance= $66 and change. I tried showing the associate my invoice online. He said it did not matter. This is our price. I could not believe the price jump. I then said you can cancel the reservation. I find this scammish and price gouging at its finest. Next, I proceeded to another location in Highlandtown. After I spoke with Alicia or Phylicia cannot recall her name specifically. However, she sounded pleasant and nice to me. Okay. I got there and things went smoothly for the most part. The price was reasonable and fair. I leave with a 20 ft. truck...no problem. However, the associate who rented the truck to me was in a hurry to leave the location and did not do a walk around inspection. I guess the truck was okay. Well at least I thought. I got to my location to start loading and then realized the truck had a padlock and I did not have the right key. Therefore, roadside service was appointed to cut the lock. In which I waited close to 2hrs. Finally, with much disregard I am very displeased with how U-Haul handles missing merchandise. Especially after I called inquiring about my merchandise (bed rails). I called asking for help to retrieve my merchandise. I was told that the employee who checked in the truck may know more about it. And they will make a note to alert the employee to call me back. He called me back and said he placed my bed rails somewhere...long story short the employee went to check where he left the bed rails, and they were not there. Therefore, he suggested I call back after the holiday to speak with his manager because she may know where the bed rails are. Well...I waited and called back Monday morning 11/27 and was told that they were thrown out. This is so unacceptable. Where was the line of communication between the staff and management? Have not heard from management...yet. I could not believe all my inquiring and patience fell on deaf ears for someone not to care enough to reach out to me. It will cost me $180 to replace the bed rails and another $35 to have them painted to match the bed head and foot post. Shame on you especially when I called multiple times. And now to be charged a cleaning fee is utterly absurd. I will never use or advise anyone to use U-Haul for anything. Very unhappy customer Part 2. I am having a meltdown trying to move on with my life without UHAUL in it. In disbelief, why is U-Haul charging me for cutting the lock? Remember the padlock that was on the truck...the padlock I did not have a key to unlock. Yes! Well the manager (Sharon) finally called me back Friday afternoon Dec. 1st. She stated that I have a balance for the lock being cut off the truck. I stated how it is possible...ma'am. Why are you attempting to charge me for your error? Customer service was called once I discovered the key for the padlock was not compatible. They (meaning U-Haul customer service) appointed roadside service to come. When roadside service arrived, he tried using the key to turn the lock to no avail. Therefore, he proceeded to cut the lock. The manager (Sharon) then stated that she would call me back. She never called me back. However the next day Dec. 2nd, there was a charge to my account of $13.75 from U-Haul/ Highlandtown. Please explain and justify. I did not authorize that and the feeling of violation compels me. I am revoking authorization of any sort from U Haul rental truck company and please remove my account information from your database.

My experience was horrible. During my November visit, the on-site staff repeatedly tried to charge myself and other customers without explaining the charges. The desk staff (the staff present on-site in the U-Haul store) had horrible attitudes when asked simple questions about charges on accounts. They must think customers are dumb and can't see that they're trying to make inappropriate charges. I agree with other reviews that Sharon is quite rude and inappropriate, as are the other staff working the desk on site. The woman staffer with the nose piercing and bright dyed hair is also extremely problematic, rude and dismissive.I could not believe the way in which I was spoken to and treated by the staffers. The desk staff were overcharging me and seemed upset when I asked about a price that did not match what I had been quoted days earlier. They made up all types of reasons, excuses and lies in order to justify the higher price. Yet, their explanations did not make any sense and did not pan out. Also, I had screenshots and recorded notes of what I had been quoted days earlier, almond with a phone conversation that had taken place on Uhaul's phone system days earlier. This call should have been recorded and this can verify the price I was quoted.At any rate, the desk staff refused to resolve the issue and stuck to the inflated price, to the point where I had to call the 1-800 online number to get help even though I was standing right inside of a U-Haul store. In the end, after an hour, the charges were resolved , mainly because the only shining light here was the phone customer representative. The phone representative seemed to be the only person who was able to fix the charges. Desk staff continued to be loud, rude and make inappropriate comments throughout all of the interactions. While on speaker phone on the call with the phone representative, Sharon, and myself; Sharon went so far as to instruct the phone representative to hang up the phone. As in,Sharon was instructing the phone representative to hang up the phone in my face mid-call (while the phone representative was trying to assist me with the charges). I believe that this portion of the encounter was recorded on Uhaul's phone system and probably should be reviewed for training purposes. Clearly the U-Haul staff have lost their minds.Again, I cannot believe the treatment I received while patronizing Uhaul's business. It is clear that you all have forgotten that we are the customer, you are the business. Our money is what keeps you going. We do not have to give our dollars to U-haul or any other business that does not value us or disrespects us repeatedly. The treatment I received by U-Haul onsite staff is inappropriate for any business who wants people to patronize them.The cherry on top of this experience is that the truck I received had been advertised as having a light inside of it. This was not the case when I opened it to start loading. There was no light. This was not helpful as I had to load things in the dark, and had been expecting a light that ended up not being there.

Worst Uhaul experience I could have possibly had. First truck we received barely made it the 5 min drive up the road to my apartment. Engine light was on, theres NO oil in the truck, no gas, and ot was overheating to the point where the truck was shaking After breaking down about 15 times and finally getting it back to Uhaul the manager Sharon or Shannon did not even apologize just said things happened and walked away from us. Continued to walk away from us without offering any solution or working with us and seemed to be unbothered at the situation. I admit my friend and I were quite pissed but we wouldn’t have been if we have at the very least received some acknowledgment of their mistake and a promt solution. An hour an a half later ( let a lone this is not only a waste of my time but also of my money as I have payed by the hour helpers sitting in my apartment) we recieved a new truck, when I asked the cashier to make sure it was still the same price since they gave me a bigger truck she said she didn't know and walked away without even trying to find the information for me. After fully loading the second truck we go to leave and the truck does not start and we waited another 2 hours for roadside assistance to come and change the battery and as he mentioned there was so much leaked battery acid everywhere he was surprised the truck started in the first place. I submitted a request through customer service to have the district manager call me but clearly that never went anywhere. The whole situations was a waste of time money and the fact that I still have to pay for the truck after all of this is ridiculous. I will never ever recommend U-Haul especially not the pulawski highway location to anyone ever again

U haul should change the customer service agent.On Oct 19 Thu 9 am the agent was in a foul mood.She never answered any question. She was rude and spoke only in 1 word answers to any question.You should fire her.

I am so sad & hurt. I had two storage units on the first floor my entire house belongings in the storage unit except food while I got some Renovations done. And the rodents poopoo all over my furniture , Couches.& Beds. I had to pay an extra person just to come dump my furniture because I have a 3 year old with serious asthma and that type of disgusting things will trigger his breathing. The rodents ate up my kids pool. And the units I was next to also was infested with roaches when I move my stuff out roaches where coming from the units next to mines. I am so hurt, disgusted and feel bad that my kids are sleeping on the floors now because they don't have any beds or dressers to put there belongings away in . My dressers where ate up. LLPThis places is infected with And smell like dead rodents. Here are pictures of the holes the rodents ate through the units going back in forth. I pray so hard not to bring any roaches or rats????? I'm hurt?????IF YOUR READING THIS DONT TAKE YOUR BELONGINGS TO THIS UHAUL SPOT FOR STORAGE. UNLESS ITS NOT IMPORTANT, BECAUSE IT WILL BE COVERED WITH POOPOO & SMELL LIKE RAT POOPOO JUST PLAN NASTY & DISGUSTING

Worst experience, false advertisement board rotten floors not tiles. the place is nasty, my stuff was covered with rat poop, the room stank smelled like mildew basement. Customer service was horrible. One of the African American girls working today 10/10/2023 at 12:40pm with a piercing had a nasty attitude. She spent time chatting with co-workers while checking us out. My husband told her we have a 12 hour drive so do we need to sign for something or should we just go because it this point we where invisible, her response was “ you can go if you want” with an attitude on her face. When I tell you the Jamaican in me was about to come out. She’s lucky my mouth found Jesus oh child!! I just walk away. They don’t even have dumpsters for stuff you don’t need. And instead of walking back to inspect the unit she told us!!! To go back and take a video and come back and show it to her. Well that exactly, they just lazy.. Baltimore is a nasty place with some people filled with nasty attitude, this is why most of them gets stuck and stay stuck.. Good attitude and manners takes you a far way. I only went there because there was no storage available in Essex. Yuck! ?

There is room for improvementEnsure truck smell nicePay attention to detail and focus on customer you are servingBefore you charge extra for gas, let the customer know, or at least inspect the truck with the customer.The vehicle i drove have a lot of safety features, it met my needs. I will rent from you again, if I have to.

My experience with Uhaul was excellent. I had some problems in the beginning on my end that was resolved and the day went smoothly. The truck was delivered to us on the lot, I downloaded the app to acknowledge some minor damage and we were on our way. At the end, I used the App to turn the truck in, and all was well. All of the representatives were great and my billing was concise. I would definitely recommend the Uhaul service.
