Hours: UMMC Midtown Campus has a great staff that is quick, friendly, and efficient. The registration and check-in process is amazingly fast. The waiting area is clean and smells good. The surgery team, including the surgeons and anesthesia team, are awesome and make patients feel comfortable. The fourth-floor team took excellent care of patients after surgery, taking their time to make sure every need was met. Specific staff members were noted for being patient, caring, and for thinking of every little detail to help with recovery. The physical therapy and occupational therapy teams are kind and creative. Even the housekeepers clean rooms with a smile. All staff, from security to the pharmacist, are super friendly and helpful every step of the way. One patient had a very pleasant experience and was impressed from the moment they walked in. Another patient felt reassured by their doctor’s expertise, caring, and kindness. The staff are courteous and made one patient feel better by having them laugh. The overall experience is described as positive, with staff going above and beyond to make a difficult surgery easier for patients and their families.
