A smaller market with a Bodega feel located in a small strip with a variety of restaurants and service retailers. They specialize in Latina/Internationalgroceries.We picked up some Chorizo from Mexico and Argentina. As well some spices (Tajin) and a good variety of fresh bakery items.Cash only so bring the Greenbacks!Service was friendly and they let us in after their closing time (6pm) which was a nice touch. This is the spot in Bel Air for your Latina groceries and delicacies!

So I stopped by another place next door for dinner tonight, but wanted some dessert. Something different. I have been in La Familia before and was intrigued then, bought some odd things I could use in the kitchen. Their selection of dried peppers and spices is extensive. It's more to this place though. In reality, it's a "general store", and dedicated to the Latin community. I like browsing in there though. Tonight I had a wonderful conversation with the gentlemen tending the store about what I called the pineapple empanadas LOL. He told me to try the cream filled donuts too. They are the size of a somewhat half flat grapefruit. $1 each. I bought 2 because he assured me they would be delicious. It's a different kind of store that if you haven't been, you need to swing by to check out. You might surprise yourself.Oh yea, great food both places next door!

I believe it's the only store that caters to the small Hispanic population in the area. The store manager is great and really friendly to everyone. The sell lots is home like products that many of us are nostalgic about.I buy the thick ???? tortillas and Spanish style sour cream, and sometimes on the weekends they sell home made tamales.Great place

La Familia has so many useful Mexican and Central American food and household products in a small shop. There are fresh vegetables including plantains that are much fresher and bigger than found in local grocery stores. All kinds of regional fruit drinks are available including mango, guava and Tamarind. All the necessary condiments and spices are found in several brands and choices. Great snacks like pork rinds and fresh pastries are a treat. Staples like rice, pastas and beans are plentiful. Services like international phone cards are available. Of note, La Familia operates on a cash basis. I always find what I came for and have fun discovering new items I did not realize I needed.
