Too bad you can't leave negative stars for a review! Also too bad the company I work hired this company, pretty sure they were over charged. I guess the company I work for likes to blow money lol. Hopefully not all your employees are as rude as the ones that did a pick up at my job this week. Thought it was reallll funny to watch someone cross route 7 with their hands and arms full because they had to park across the street due to your employees needing every inch of space for the truck although there was ample room as we have buses in our driveway DAILY (even enough space to turn around) after seeing me trying to pull into work they pulled closer to the end of the driveway preventing me from doing so. Then moved back after all this and had the nerve to ask to move the company van! WTG to the two guys that you sent that day. If you don't believe what I'm saying I do have witnesses and I'm pretty sure the comic book store across from where I work has cameras.

Highly highly recommend. I’ve never used movers before and didn’t know what to expect. Matthew and DeShawn were experienced, patient, and just enjoyable to be around. Made a stressful process seamless. Can’t wait to use them again in the future!

Crooks. Charged over double than our estimate amount. Movers waited until I left and my wife was alone to present the bill to her and forced her to pay on the spot. Movers did not complete their work, and did not assemble furniture as agreed. Workers sat around and did not work hard. Was also billed for workers to go to lunch. Take your business anywhere else and save your money.

We used Thompson for our most recent move and they were awesome. We had Sean, Greg, TJ, and John as our movers and they really went above and beyond for us. We had a lot of stuff and it started to snow, rain, and freezing rain during the move and they took the extra time to not only protect our stuff but also our floors of our new home. Highly recommend anyone to use them if you’re looking for movers, they also had the better pricing out of the companies we looked at.

Jim and Greg did an outstanding job moving us! Their patience and expertise made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The team arrived on time and handled my belongings with great care. Jacob was also incredibly helpful, promptly answering my many, many questions from the start. Special thanks to Jim and Greg for going the extra mile with this move. Ms. Snead and her movers were awesome. She was so nice and accommodating when I realized we booked their days wrong. She was so helpful during my extremely stressful move. Her guys were great and on it. Even helped us out when one of our kids went missing and helped searched for him. They are extremely kind and great! Highly recommend.

For a seamless relocation experience, consider hiring them for your next move; you won't regret it. They handle relocations with speed, ease, and professionalism. I am thoroughly impressed. If I need to move again, they will be my top choice.

We used Thompson 2 years ago and were so satisfied that we decided to use them again for our move last month. Unfortunately, this move did not go as well. Our brand new hardwood floors were scratched when the movers used a dolly. Several of our items were broken and despite me spending hours labeling boxes, most of the boxes were just left in the garage and it took me hours to put them in the correct rooms. The worst part is that I have reached out several times to discuss the issues I encountered as well as determine how to replace our broken items and have heard nothing in over a month.
UPDATE: finally heard back from the company. Apparently the contract says that they need to be put on notice in writing within 48 hours. Due to the fact that I sent my first email 72 hours (but told them of the issues in person on the day of the move) they do not want to fix any of their mistakes. I would not recommend this company for any future moves.

Sadly, we did not have a positive experience. The owner came pretty quickly and surveyed the move. We were told we’d have an estimate next day… it took almost a week with multiple emails and calls in between and no response. In the end we went with another company, less expensive($15k less!!), great communication, quick turn around (even with Christmas around the corner!) packed and delivered 300+ miles away within 24hrs!
We were convinced by reviews that Thompson’s was top notch. Unfortunately, it was not for us.

This was my second time using them and was again NOT disappointed in the great care and service they provided. The team that moved me was outstanding and worked like true professionals. I would highly recommend them and I will be using them again in the future. Thanks for the outstanding job.

Thompson Moving and Storage is the best I’ve ever worked with and I appreciate all of them their staff and their movers because they’re kind and they do whatever you asked them to do. I’ve had a wonderful relationship with them moving to Maryland and now moving out of Maryland. Thank you, Jamie and thank you to the entire staff.

Stellar reviews for Thompson's Moving. Our experience with Thompson's was in the top 1% of contractor experiences in my lifetime. My experience was old school - personable, friendly, and refreshing. The entire group from Jamie (Office management and admin) to the crew that came to my house was knowledgeable, professional, punctual, and thorough. The crew came with appropriate tools and materials to move my hot tub from where it was located on my deck (approx 4' high) to a new ground level pad. Everyone was friendly. It was overall a five-star experience. I will definitely hire them again and will refer them to my family and friends.

I highly recommend Thompson’s Moving Company for all local and long distance moves. I moved from Maryland to South Carolina. The office personnel were very helpful scheduling the move, and the movers were friendly, courteous, and were great with wrapping, boxing, carrying, and loading my belongings on their truck. They had to carry my furniture and boxes down 3 flights of stairs. They handled everything with care and secured every item in the truck.
