My abingdon post office made a mistake and forwarded a package I was returning to some random persons address in bel air. So I called the bel air post office to find out what happened and Deborah who works there helped me figure out what exactly happened and was trying to work out a solution and keep me updated. Thankfully the person it was delivered to dropped it off to my address personally since it was on the original label. However in this time Deborah was still checking in with me giving me status updates and working with her Bel Air carriers to try to fix the mistake. The bel air branch and Deborah was very professional and understanding (the package had a lot of value). After trying to work with the abingdon post office I was blown away with how terrible that experience was and bel air was the complete opposite. I hope someone high up at the usps reads this because Deb really went above and beyond and was looking out for me in the crazy situation and I truly appreciate that.

We never have had a good experience at this PO. Rude and never helpful staff. Need to work on their public relations.

NEVER HAVE CHECKS OR MONEY MAILED IF YOU USE THIS POST OFFICE!
Every time small checks are mailed to me, they arrive already opened, and the larger checks never reach me at all-neither in person nor online.
May god help everyone who is forced to use this post office.

Gosh the ladies at the front desk are very rude. It sucks having to go here knowing that's what we have to deal with just to get some stamps or ship a package.

Experience at Bel Air Post Office
I recently had a troubling experience at the Bel Air, MD Post Office regarding their electronic fingerprinting service. After calling twice and speaking with a supervisor who assured me that all I would need was $50 and a government ID, I drove 20 miles to avoid the unpleasant service I previously received in Baltimore City.
Upon my arrival at 2 PM, I was met with rudeness and hostility from the staff, especially from one clerk who was dismissive not only towards me but also to customers ahead of me. Despite my attempts to clarify the situation, I was informed that the fingerprint processor usually leaves by 2:30 PM but may have already departed, contrary to what I had confirmed earlier.
Furthermore, I was told that I needed a barcode from the FBI for the fingerprinting process—information that the supervisors I spoke with over the phone apparently did not provide. The staff member I encountered was not only unhelpful but also condescending, which added to my frustration.
My experience was far from what I expected, and it highlighted why the Bel Air Post Office has a disappointing rating of 2.1 stars on Google reviews. I hope that management can address these service issues to improve the experience for future customers

Every time I come here I have a terrible experience. Why are these people so miserable… TONY NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. I only had like a 30 second interaction with her and it started off immediately with attitude and an eye roll. Will not be coming back here unless it’s unavoidable. I hope the people who work at this place find peace and find some manners.

Lazy and rude. Typical over paid postal workers. I only go there when absolutely have to. I do go out of my way to take my packages to mail down to Benson. Just the opposite of the Bel Air and Forest Hill post offices. Very nice and they go out of their way to help customers. Use the Benson MD post office for your needs. You will be happy with their service.

I came in with 6 packages all with prepaid labels, it takes about 5 seconds to scan each. The lady at the counter starts to scan my packages then tells me she can only scan 4 of them and she is not going to scan the others. She tried to tell me it’s a new rule which is a flat out lie, I go to the post office every day with more packages than this usually and this is not happened a single time. This lady was rude and she had an attitude. I asked her to please let me know her supervisors contact information. She tells me no, I ask her what her name was because she had her name tag hidden of course she told me she didn’t have to tell me that and I can leave the building. This was the most ridiculous USPS experience I have ever had and all I needed was my packages scanned that I paid for. I now avoid this post office but the next time I have to go to this location they better scan all my packages in.
