Recently, my experience at the Apple Store took a disappointing turn. As a long-time iPhone user, I've always been satisfied with their products and service. However, my visit on 4/9/24 left me thoroughly dissatisfied.I had ordered a phone online and decided to exchange it for a different color. Prior to my visit, I called the store and was assured that the process would be straightforward: I could return the original phone and receive a gift card to purchase the new one.Upon arrival, an employee initiated the return process. However, when I mentioned that I had financed the purchase through the Apple website, things took a frustrating turn. The employee seemed uncertain and sought assistance from a supervisor or manager.Unfortunately, the supervisor I encountered was unhelpful and outright rude. Despite contradicting the information provided during my phone call, she insisted that the exchange couldn't be processed because of the financing. Additionally, she claimed that I couldn't take the phone home without connecting it to a carrier in-store, which contradicted my past experiences.Throughout the encounter, the supervisor maintained a disrespectful demeanor and even blamed me for the situation. This experience was far from the exceptional customer service I had come to expect from Apple. As a result, I have no intention of returning to this particular store. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction have left a lasting negative impression.

This godforsaken store has my computer and has neither sent it out for repair (I dropped it off four days ago!) nor will anyone actually answer the phone to tell me where it is. Meanwhile, THREE different Apple support people - including the guy at the store who checked me in - have lied to me about what’s going on. So far I have heard: It would be shipped out next day, it was shipped out, it was not shipped out, it was not shipped out but would be that evening, and - per the supervisor at Apple support I finally got on the phone - it’s just nowhere to be found. And here’s a fun fact: Even the Apple senior advisors can’t get anyone at this store on the phone! So I have to conclude they have either lost or stolen my computer, and maybe I need to call the police. (Additional fun fact: They make you turn off the Find My feature in order to get the computer repaired.) If you value your Apple products, do NOT go to this store.

Apple is obnoxiously confident in their products... to the point that they overcharge and underdeliver.

I’ve gone to this store many times over the years. This was the first time I ever I worked with an employee who I felt was not knowledgeable about the products and their first instinct was to try and sell me the most expensive product. I typically enjoy dialoguing and learning more than what I can research on my own. Today was not the case, and I had to correct them a few times. :( not the service I expect when purchasing a product like Apple.

Poor attitude poor communication poor service. Would rate 0 if I could. Firstly, what the staff at this store said dramatically differs from what the staff said via the apple customer service line. It just made people confused who the heck is right. Also, The staff at the genius bar rubed my computer backwards on the table. Only after I asked him to treat my computer carefully twice, he said sorry. I don't know why but I have met several annoying people in Bethesda. I guess I should stop coming Bethesda to shop.

Alex spent over two and a half hours attemting to get my Apple ID to work on my new phone. He treated me with care and dignity. At my age (72) as I know little about computers I often feel rather stupid. He deserves a high five for his willigness to go the extra mile

I've had generally good experiences over the past few years, but this week was nuts. They called me about my repair, but went I called back, they didn't pick up and the line hangs up after a few minutes. Tried a dozen times over a few days, even had Apple Support try, nothing. Come on, now.

Have Apple stores gone downhill? The technician I saw seemed shady. He wanted to sell me a flat repair rate for my computer, for repairs which may have not been needed. I then decided to purchase a new computer and the sales person knew nothing about Mac computers. He told me he didn't even own a Mac. He gave me false information about how to transfer my data, and I lost not all, but significant amounts of data. The Genius bar is gone, too, I guess b/c Apple doesn't hire geniuses any longer?

Our experience with the Apple Store in Bethesda, today was terrible. We went online and booked a 3:45 appointment for her battery to be replaced. We received a confirmation email & text telling us how to prepare for the visit. (Back up your phone, make sure you have the latest iOS updated installed and know your username and password). We made sure everything was taken care of before we left the house. We arrived 10+ minutes early to the store, where literally no one acknowledged us for 15 minutes. We had a barcode which we were supposed to use in order to check in, but there was no Apple employee who had the time to even Acknowledge our presence. Finally, a technician comes over & acknowledges our appointment & what were there for, which is to get a battery replaced (Which was specified on the online Appointment system). The Apple tech tells us “yeah we can’t do that. We won’t have time today. It’s Sunday. We close early on Sundays. You’ll have to come back tomorrow.” We Reminded her that we had an appointment specifically to get the battery replaced at 3:45. She went on to say “yeah but it’s Sunday and we’ve been busy today. We Have had a lot of walk-in customers so we’re not gonna have time to serve you. You can come back tomorrow… It’s out of our Control”.This particular representative wasn’t sorry, didn’t apologize, nothing. So my wife asked for The manager, Who is equally as useless and doesn’t seem to understand the point of booking appointments. My wife told the manager that it was a colossal disrespect of her time and his response was “sorry if you feel that way”.What is the point of making an appointment? Pitiful customer service!
