Damaged my phone over the weekend and was forced to enter the AT&T store which is never my favorite thing to do, but Fredy was super helpful and succinct- and got my issues resolved while patiently and thoroughly addressing my question. Job well done

I am a long standing AT&T customer. I walked into this store with three sales associates engaged in detailed conversations with other customers. I previously purchased a glass screen protector for my iPhone that needed a 5 minute warranty replacement. I waited patiently for ten minutes before I was even acknowledged. The one sales associate clearly saw that I was waiting and continued to have a long detailed conversation with another person not pertaining to service completely ignoring me. I was sitting right next to them. I walked out of the store in disgust. This experience demonstrated dismal customer service from this store. After 20 years I will be switching my phone service

This was the best experience we have ever had at a Telecom store (or for that matter any retailer). Franco (sales specialist) supporting was not only knowledgeable and meticulous, but also made us feel that he was genuinely happy to talk to us and help us out.
We wanted to do multiple things during this store visit - upgrade our phones, combine our individual accounts and add new line for our son. Based on some bad experiences we had in the past, we were seriously considering switching to Verizon. However, given how helpful Franco was we decided to continue with AT&T (and we feel happy about doing so)…

Freddy at the Montgomery Mall location is super knowledgeable, super helpful, patient and friendly!
Whenever I have trouble I will drive out of my way to go to this location to get Freddy’s help with my businesses phones and tablets.

They were very friendly and helpful. I came around noon on a Sunday so I expected them to be a bit short staffed but they helped me quickly and courteously.

Went in to this store Saturday to upgrade a phone and according to the survey I took after the fact, worked with Freddy. I can do this online very easily but I wanted the phone in hand same day. The employee who helped me, started the process of upgrading and told me that the new phone was bundled with both the yearly upgrade program and insurance which I declined both. He told me that sorry it’s bundled and they can’t remove it but that I could remove it later.
I explained that I could order this online without bundling these services and he confirmed I could do that online if I wanted to. Then he smugly replied that the manager would be in shortly and could override it. Ok whatever. I don’t know what’s true but it sounded like BS and it’s a terrible look.
I explained the phone was for my brother and that he was on his way to meeting me at the store and never in the period of this transaction did the employee notify me that upon upgrading, even before opening the new phone, my brother would lose his service. As a result it was a lot of uncertainty trying to connect with my brother and locate him at the mall to give him the phone and could have been avoided by providing some advance warning. Typically when you upgrade online, the service does not cut off until after the new phone is upgraded.
Overall a sloppy experience that makes me question why I’ve been with this company for 20+ years.
