Do yourself a favor and never consider Bank of America mortgage loans. Bunch of liars and dishonest people. I learned the hard way, after wasting almost a month being told that I will get a certain rate with certain amount of credit, ended up not being true and I had to go to SUNTRUST BANK for my mortgage loan this time.

Nick at this branch and joshua and Nabi are all exceptional bankers. They are approachable and very kind and communicative. They go the extra mile to help you and adress your concerns. You never wait more than two minutes without someone asking you for help. Make an appointment ud best.

Bank is very slow at helping guests! Every time I come in here there's a line and not enough tellers. As someone who lives in DC I have never experienced such long lines at a bank! Get it together Bank of America, this is ridiculous! Don't bother banking here, especially at this horrible location in Bethesda!

Every interaction I have had with BoA has been characterized by ineptitude and bureaucracy. Their phone receptionist gives one detail and then it is contradicted by the staff when visiting. They are obsessed with "security" of the accounts and assure me "it is for your protection." Baloney! Other banks protect my accounts just fine without everything being a run around. Just try changing signature cards for your company or non profit agency! Terrible.

I have been with Bank of America for well over a decade. I have had several accounts and mortgages. I have been increasingly disappointed. Whenever I go into the BOA banks in Bethesda there is a line. I was told that they want their customers to use the ATM. It is less expensive for them. Several times there were aprox. 20 people waiting or in line. They intentionally do not staff the bank, because they do not want to spend the money. They do not care about customer service. I had a joint escrow account with my husband which required two signatures, yet they allowed him to make car payments and withdraw money from the account. I get .01% interest on my Bank of America account, yet I am getting .5% interest at two other local banks I have had several mortgages with the bank, was never late with a payment, own a home. I applied for a home equity line and was denied despite the fact that I was able to get it from another bank. I have removed most of my money from the bank as money talks. I'll go to a small bank that appreciates me.

A majority of our banking needs are done via faceless transactions so when my wife & I had an issue arise that required a visit to a branch and THANK GOD we met Joshua Hunt, the Branch manager. His professionalism and caring for his customers came through during our conversation. He not only answered all our questions but followed up with us after our visit to make sure we were all set. If you're a Bank of America customer or searching for a bank then stop by this branch and ask for Josh. I judge a business by their employees and BofA made a great choice in selecting Josh to run this branch.

I had a horrendous experience with Bank of America phone customer service last week. I was scheduled to close on my new home on Friday, February 19. On Thursday, I called the main number to receive assistance with ordering a $30K Wire Transfer for my settlement funds as this was my first time needing a money wire. Long story short, the phone representative misguided me and I ended up requesting a Next Day transfer (an ACH transaction) online instead of a Same-Day transfer (Wire transaction). Although I knew my settlement company did not accept ACH transfers, I was not aware that selecting Next Day would initiate an ACH transfer and the Representative over the phone did not guide me any better. The funds were not available at my Settlement meeting, nor by Friday close of business even after repeated calls to check the status of my wire. On Monday morning, February 22, the funds had still not yet arrived and completely frustrated, I called customer service AGAIN to rectify the situation yet to no avail. At that point, I was completely fed up and decided to visit my nearest branch for answers. From the moment I walked in to the 7316 Wisconsin Ave Branch and was greeted by Joshua Hunt, I felt like my concerns and frustrations were heard. Joshua immediately began tracking down my electronic payment to get to the bottom of my issue. Although Josh was able to provide me with a Trace ID, my settlement company argued that the funds had still not been received. So, Josh ushered me into the office of Emmanuel "Nick" Vicente to assist with further investigation. For nearly two hours, Nick tirelessly called the recipient's bank (where I sent my funds) and the electronic payment division within Bank of America. He discovered that my recipient had in fact rejected my ACH payment and that it was now on Bank of America to return my funds to my account. I was amazed at how many times Nick, as a Bank employee, was transferred to representatives over, and over, and over again. I counted no less than five transfers before he was able to put a stop on my electronic payment. Meanwhile, as my Seller was threatening to end my deal due to the delay in receipt of my settlement funds, Josh was on the phone with my Settlement agent and my Seller explaining and assuring them of the timeline for receipt of my funds. I believe he single-handedly saved my deal! As a courtesy, Josh went out of his way to offer reimbursement on my behalf to my Seller for the fees incurred as a result of the 4-day delay in receiving the Wire payment. When it was all said and done, I had spent 3 hours with Josh and Nick and was assured that within 24 hrs the funds would be returned to my account. Tuesday morning before 9a, I had two voicemails each from Josh and Nick notifying me that the funds were available in my account and that I could schedule an appointment to come in and pick up a Certified check. By Tuesday afternoon, I left the branch smiling with check in hand. Joshua Hunt and Emmanuel "Nick" Vicente renewed my faith in Bank of America's customer service. I was beyond frustrated and ready to end my 17 year account relationship. They showed me outstanding support, commitment to resolve my problem, and exceptional follow-thru. Overall, I still think less than highly of Bank of America as a whole but individual employees like Josh and Nick stand out amongst the best of this company!

This visit was much better than my last. Emanuel with his friendly smile, apologized for the delay & was immensely pleasant in servicing me. Needed to make a quick out of state deposit & was told of a new rule that I wasn't aware of...you must now present an ID. A small yet friendly staff of employees.

This review is for customer service at this branch, not Bank of America as a whole. I hate bank of america. I really do. I hate the fees that they have for a basic checking account. I hate that the call center is not open late night when it seems the only time I can check my account information (I work two jobs, and am always busy), I hate the $5 fee for a lost freaking debit card. I LOVE the customer service at this branch. Joshua Hunt is one of the more professional workers at this branch. He is cordial, remembers your name when you come into the door, shakes your hand, and is uber professional. Plus he's really handsome, and goes out of his way to make sure everything is top notch. NOW, if bank of america would value the every day worker, and not charge me fees for every little thing, I might consider making my checking account my primary, but for now I will stick to my credit union. PS. Come here around 130 when its not busy and the lunch rush has calmed down.

Oh Crap of a Bankika.. Had your forced acquisition of Merrill not left you insolvent, barring the suspension of GAAP and MTM accounting, I might give you a pass on forcing me to accept a maintenance fee of $12 a month like every other pickpocketing bank out there. But given the circumstances, it sorta rubs me the wrong way. You can't say nobody warned you when you get 'Cyprussed' people. Unless you have no problem trading your toilet paper reserve notes for toilet paper bank shares.

Bank of America personal financial specialist Jordan Fisher is the best. Handled very complicated financial matters with grace and kindness, and everything was completed within a day.

I've been to this location a couple of times and the folks are always eager to help. As a rule, I do as much of my banking as I can online or via ATMs, and BofA is great for that, but the times that I've had to go in for something have been well handled.
