I recently visited this store with a genuine and specific question about a product I was looking for. The employees didn’t seem to take my request seriously, and their attitude came across as skeptical—as if they didn’t believe I actually had a valid reason for being there.
What made this more frustrating is that I’ve never had this kind of experience at the Dupont Circle location. There, the staff have always been welcoming, helpful, and respectful of my questions—whether or not I end up buying something.
I hope the management takes a closer look at how their team is treating customers.

I do t have one of these in my state, but have visited in CT and CA. I was in the area and decided to pop in for a moisturizer. Looking for some help, I patiently waited for an associate to ask if I needed help. Told her I have mature dry skin. She showed me a mask and said I could use it as a moisturizer. I questioned the product and she handed me over to another woman. The other woman showed me a $800 routine for 3 products. I asked her if she had samples as I would hate to invest in something that won’t provide the moisture I need. She said no.
So word to those of us who midlife and looking for a little extra moisture, perhaps try somewhere else.
I found this odd as my past experience with Blue Mercury is that they have wonderful samples and most people try to introduce more than one product.
I know not to shop here when I’m in the area.

Kate and the rest of the SAs were amazing. I came in looking to repurchase a specific fragrance and Kate had amazing recommendations to branch out with.

I love this Blue Mercury location so much. Whether I'm selecting a new scent or serum I always feel like I'm surrounded by luxury and the best brands in beauty. Shannon, (the manager) Is so sweet and helpful.

I placed a large order during the holiday sale. After a week, I finally received the package, just to find someone else's order. I contacted customer service immediately and was told my order would ship the next day. It clearly would've helped if a packing slip had been included, but needless to say their packaging always seems careless and haphazard. After two days of receiving no confirmation, I contacted customer service again and was informed all of the products I ordered were currently out of stock. I was asked if I wanted a refund of my money, however now that all of the holiday sales are over, I would have to pay full price for all of my products elsewhere. The rep seemed to have cared less that it was their error and that I had paid for products and have nothing to show for it. You would think they would've offered an additional discount when products came back into stock or anything for that matter. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be doing business with this company again.

Maggie was very helpful and patient with my indecisive and particular skin issues. She knew all the products very well and pointed me in the right direction without being pushy in any way. I love the variety and quality of the products they offer.

Maggie is a goddess!! I walked in looking for a specific primer, and Maggie spent a lot of time helping me pick the right one for my skin type and concerns. Then she helped me with foundation, concealer, and eye shadow and taught me how to use all of it. She spent a long time with me and I walked out with perfect makeup on my face and in my bag. She showed me a ton of products that I didn’t end up getting but she never pushed me to buy any of them. Would absolutely come to this BM again, especially just for Maggie’s help!

Not your typical Blue Mercury shopper, but I was greeted by two exceptionally friendly people who took me right to what I wanted. In and out in three minutes and left with a very favorable impression. Big thumbs up to all concerned.

Amazingly clean store, with a beautiful color scheme, baby blue with white accented by marble. The staff was attentive, gave each customer exclusive attention and the selection was varied. The prices are a little up there but the quality is apparent. I would highly recommend
