Amazing experience! Had the headspa treatment and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Luisa. She was above and beyond amazing!! Truly felt like such a serene experience. I’ve also had wonderful haircuts with Franz and Yoonski! Would highly recommend this salon :)

Anai provided me with a 60 min scalp massage and I can tell you with full confidence that you NEED this! You know how important your nails are?! Well guess what, you need a scalp massage MORE! How I’ve gone this long without doing this is incredible and insane. Anai sets the scene for pure relaxation starting with intentional relaxation techniques like Aromatherapy, the most perfect golden lighting, and goal setting for your session. Every single session is tailor made to your needs and sensitivities from the optional weighted blanket, eye mask, and continuous communication throughout the session. She wants to know you and understand you to have the best experience possible. Anai is a pro and knows what you need.

Franz Sebastian Spa in Bethesda is hands-down the best spot for men’s and boys’ haircuts. Troop (Konstantin) is an incredible stylist — he’s fast, attentive, and really listens. Both my son and I get our haircuts with him, and every time he nails the look.
Franz himself is a fantastic host and runs an amazing shop. The space feels welcoming, professional, and relaxed — a place you actually look forward to visiting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch cuts and great service!

Do yourself a favor and find someone, anyone at Franz Sebastian to work with you - the stylists/staff are amazing and take great pride in their work & working environment, which makes all the difference in terms of vibes.
I’ve been going to Emma for about 9 months now getting full color & cut and she always goes to great lengths to make sure things are juuuust right before sending me out the door :) Thanks for all you do!

I’ve been getting my hair done for over 20 years and have never had an experience as disappointing as this one. I went to the same stylist, Denise, twice. After my first appointment, she personally came to the receptionist to book my next appointment. So imagine my surprise when I arrived for the second visit, asked for the same service (with a slightly lighter base, as we had discussed), and Denise told me she didn’t have time to do much because I had only booked a single color. So my appointment started off with her accusing me of the error, when it was obviously her or the salon. After this, she had an attitude the entire time she was doing my hair. She/the salon should have admitted their mistake and rebooked me. I would have preferred this versus sitting there for 3 hours with Danielle having a bad attitude and ruining my hair.
She rushed the entire appointment—though she denied it when I asked—and failed to put a proper gown on me, just a single drape. Bleach ended up on my sleeves. I noticed every other client was given both a gown and drape—something I’ve always received elsewhere. When it came time for toner, she asked for my inspo pic (again) and then showed me something completely different. I reiterated what I wanted: cool-toned, subtle babylights throughout, and grey coverage.
After the toner, she passed me off to someone else to rinse and dry—without telling me she wasn’t cutting my hair. When I asked her about the haircut, she abruptly said she didn’t have time and walked off with an attitude. She acted like the entire situation was my fault, even though it was her own poor communication and dismissiveness that caused the confusion.
Another stylist was asked to finish the haircut and dry my hair. Once it was done, I saw immediately it was not what I wanted at all. The top was dark—almost black—with no highlights. The bottom was ashy blonde. It looked like a poorly executed balayage, which I didn’t ask for. I wanted dimensional color with soft, cool-toned highlights—not harsh color blocking.
Denise came over and admitted that my hair didn’t turn out right, saying it could be “easily fixed next week” with a toner in 10 minutes. Then, right after admitting she had messed it up, she told me I’d have to pay extra if I wanted my hair dried after that fix. At that point, I was so upset I just left.
I called the salon later and they told me to come in the next morning to have it corrected. But when I arrived, I was told the only thing they could do was “tone it down.” So now I’ve paid nearly $400 for hair that’s darker than I ever wanted, with no visible highlights, and absolutely nothing like what I requested.
The manager said someone would be in touch to resolve the situation that day—but it’s been almost a week and I haven’t heard a back.
This experience was completely unprofessional, frustrating, and disappointing. I won’t be returning, and I strongly caution others before booking here.

I FOUND THE ONE !!!!
This is my 10th time trying to find a perfect salon to get my hair done just the way I wanted it! My hair was burnt and dry and didn’t look nice at all Roger saved my hair and made it 10x better . My first time getting my hair done by a man and I was shocked . He was so kinda and funny ! Within the 3 hours I was there he made me enjoy it like if time went pass fast. Most of all it was clean !!! 20/10 experience. I’ll will be coming again

Absolutely love this salon! Yoniski, Sanaz, Franz, and Deniese are the best — so talented and friendly. I got one of the best haircuts ever, and the whole atmosphere is so welcoming and positive. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing stylists and a great vibe!

I honestly can’t say enough about how amazing my experience has been at Franz Sebastian Salon in Bethesda with Sanaz! She’s incredibly talented and has this natural gift for creating styles that aren’t just beautiful—they feel entirely me. Whenever I leave her chair, I’m obsessed with my hair. It’s like she just gets what I’m looking for.
What I really appreciate is how well she listens. I’ve spent so long trying to find a stylist who truly hears what I want, and Sanaz nails it every time. She’s not just talented—she’s super creative and always up-to-date with the latest trends, so my hair always feels modern and chic.
If you’re looking for a stylist who’s not only skilled but also listens, understands, and can bring your vision to life, I can’t recommend Sanaz enough. She’s a gem!

This salon is altogether awesome, and Emma Heuges is the absolute best! She did my hair for a few years until I moved to another region of the country, and I am so sad I can't still get my hair done by her. She is very talented, funny, kind, and easy to talk with. Thank you, Emma!!

Weird experience. I walked in asking for a bang trim and asked how much it would be. They quoted me either free or $5 and booked me for an hour later. Then, once my bangs had been trimmed, I was told it is $20.

I love it here! Everyone is do nice and welcoming as soon as you walk in. Ada is the absolute best, she takes her time to make sure you both understand what you want, how’s it’s going to happen, and about how long it will take. She takes her time and you can tell that she absolutely loves what she does. Her energy and attitude are always so positive and refreshing, it’s such a treat and a wonderful experience. 10/10!!!

The stylists at Franz Sebastian are great. I’ve been going for years and my kids also go there. Their cuts and color are amazing. We love Medinah, Jae and Heidi. Prices are reasonable and the service is great. They don’t push products on you either, which I appreciate. Several of my friends are also loyal customers. You can’t go wrong!
