We dropped into Indigo Octopus after having a casual lunch at Flower Child. We walked into the store and a couple of young women entered shortly behind us. We had not one but two sales associates pass us without even acknowledging we were there. Not even a welcome. However, the young women behind us were greeted and assisted right away.This was our first stop into Indigo and it might be our last.We went down the row to South Moon Under and were not only greeted, but assisted. We were happy to spend our money there.

I babe been shopping here since they opened the first location in Fenwick Island. I love the selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories. The new Bethesda location is beautiful with great options.

It’s Memorial Day weekend and after making a clothing donation stop at the church nearby I decided to treat myself at Indigo. I haven’t been back since early last year when I had a very bad experience and I was given a gift card for it which I intended to use today. The lady who attended me was nice at first but when I told her the swim suits I tried on weren’t right for me she said “good luck” and suggested I go check out the discounted swimsuits at South Moon Under (the competition store next door). This store truly has terrible customer service. That’s it, I’m not coming back here again.

I have worked in the retail business for many years and to say that I was disappointed with the customer service in BOTH locations, not just Bethesda, is an understatement. I visited the store earlier in the week and was not approached ONE time, even after shopping directly in front of the manager and sales associates. Tasking should never be prioritized over actively looking customers. I don’t ever expect to be tended to in any store because I typically know what I am looking for, but a simple “hello” is always appreciated. I will not be returning to either location.

Beautiful store and love the home items but the customer service is terrible. I went in this past Saturday and there were maybe 3 other customers in the store who were helped except for me(I was the only non-white person in the store). The associates walked right past me to ask if the other customers needed help.

My girlfriend has been buying clothes from here for almost 2 years now regularly, she recently bought a pair of jeans that didn’t quite fit her well. She tried to return them (15 days after she bought them) as she was busy with work and life, and they not only told her she couldn’t return them, but was ganged up on by the employees and bullied to the point where she got emotional. The staff left her beaten and feeling absolutely defeated… the amount of money and time she has spent on this store is insane, and they treated her like a peasant. Having a return policy is one thing, but not treating someone with general respect and actually hurting them is another. We will not be returning to this brand, horrible customer service and absolutely sad way they treat customers is just really heartbreaking. Good luck.

I've been shopping at this store for the duration of Covid and always loved the unique pieces, even considered it the only store I shopped at until today. I bought a pair of (very expensive) jeans two weeks ago and haven't worn them until yesterday when I realized that sitting and moving around in them felt very uncomfortable especially in the heat. The fit wasn't right so I decided to return them. The girls at the front desk, who knew I was a regular, found all the reasons as to why I couldn't return them nor get store credit for them and that I should just "wait for them to stretch out". If the jeans are too tight and uncomfortable I shouldn't have to "wait" for them to fit me especially when I'm spending over $200 on them. It also didn't help that a customer jumped into the conversation as the group ganged up on me to try to convince me of all the reasons why I shouldn't return the unwanted jeans. This was such an unpleasant and disheartening experience especially from the girls who smile at you and see you often. Maybe that's the kind of unethical and insincere service they're used to. I'm disappointed and very sad. Won't be returning to Indigo again.

The store is amazing and beautiful! Nice and clean and very nice pieces! The only negative thing is the guy Chase that works there is such a stuck up diva. He needs to return to earth and show a little more customer service. The manager that's brunette is soo kind and amazing! Such a chic store!

Absolutely love this store - their selection is the best in the dmv and they have hard to find brands and designers. I wish they stayed at the 14th street location just so it’s walking distance from my place :)Excited to check out their store in Delaware this summer!
