Friendly staff and great quality. Store was well organized and cleanly, fitting rooms comfortable and private. What really impressed us was the free hemming customization on a personal basis! Marybeth and Gwen were both wonderful associates, warm and welcoming. Thanks again. We look forward to returning to Madewell sometime

My experience in the store with Paige was exceptional. She was incredibly helpful and compassionate, especially when my sister had a moment in the dressing room. Paige went above and beyond to ensure we felt supported and taken care of throughout our visit.

I have shopped at madewell for years & always got gift cards from family for the holidays!! Visiting this store made me not want to shop at madewell ever again !! There were 3 associates in the front having a conversation & none of them said a word as they were busy in own conversation!! Horrible customer service !! I had a return & saw a purse that I was going to exchange I had to go to the 3 & interrupt to get price of purse then when I went to counter to do return/exchange another rude associate !! She didn't say hello thank you nothing!! What happened to customer service?? Obviously this store needs to look up the definition & get a refresher course

I love this Madewell so much! It's definitely a smaller location but it's never super busy and the sales associates are very nice and helpful. It's always very clean and organized as well.

This Madewell store is located on Level 2 of Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD. I haven't been to Montgomery Mall in years so I was pleased to see all of the updates that have been made to the mall. I had a really positive experience doing an exchange at this store. The sales associate was very friendly and efficient. I had ordered the transport camera bag in black and it had a small blemish on the leather. I was able to exchange the bag that I had received in the mail for the same bag in-store. Should I need to return or exchange anything in the future, this Madewell store will be my first choice.

I was helped byJolette yesterday and she was incredibly helpful. She recommended which jeans I should try on based on what I liked. I’ve shopped at this store for a few years now and this was my best experience yet. I will be back very soon because of Jolette!

I love this Madewell so much! It's definitely a smaller location but it's never super busy and the sales associates are very nice and helpful. It's always very clean and organized as well. The only reason I'm taking away a star is because there is one associate who is VERY sales aggressive. She will check on you at least 4 times while you're shopping and this last time all I did was walk in the direction of the denim table and she immediately asked if I wanted to try on a bunch of styles... I didn't even get a chance to look before she said "that style you're looking at has no stretch at all, but it does come in Curvy, which would be better for you"....I was stunned. I never mentioned anything about my size or needs, I don't wear curvy sizing, I'm a size 6, and not that I don't appreciate her notice of my curves...I found it very off putting and didn't want to try anything on. I told her I wasn't looking for denim and left soon after.

Recently got turned on to Madewell after months of just walking past its windows and admiring the clothes. Have been very happy with this location. Beautiful store inside, and the associates are always very friendly and willing to help. Returns and exchanges are super easy here as well.

Did not have the shoe I was seeking. But Kayla was great! Great customer service, attitude and energy! Store was orderly, neat. Only took off one star because the shoe I wanted was not in stock. Was told I can purchase online. Would have been nice if offered to order in the store.

The clothes are pretty great--and I'm picky--but this is a review of the service, which was unusually exceptional. The three women who assisted me yesterday were attentive but not overbearing, knowledgeable and not pushy. One is Gianna, the second a cool tall lady, and the third--whose name I really wish I got--is a clearly professional and kind woman who was wearing a really pretty head wrap. Now the reason I'm writing this review (LISTEN UP, CORPORATE): I walked in yesterday a shell of myself after a really crappy day/week/year. Shopped like a zombie for a bit and went to check out. I'm not a cryer but for some reason all the feels hit me in the middle of that store and I burst into quiet tears. After treating me with the perfect blend of dignity, space and sweetness, the third employee came over and asked if she could give me a hug. (She gives really good hugs.) Madewell, you have great employees at this store and a real gem in that third woman. She went above and beyond. I'll be a repeat customer and I sure hope the powers that be (looking at you, HQ) fix these ladies up with a raise/bonus/diamonds/fur coats. Now, I'm going to rock my new shirts that not only look awesome but remind me there are good people out there.
