The service is horrible they don’t know how to do simple transactions so every time I have to go I’m there for over an hour. Horrible

I wish I could give this place 0 stars but luckily my only visit to this place was to close an account. I entered the branch and was the only customer inside. I stood in front of the teller who after 1-2 minutes finally stops what she's doing to look up and have me approach. As she's typing in her computer she keeps stopping, pulling down her mask, and sipping from her coffee. Not the I'm-in-a-hurry sip but a let-me-escape-from-reality sip. She kept drinking her coffee like she was forcing herself to wake up in the morning. About 10-15 minutes pass and now there is someone behind me. I could tell he was getting impatient too so I asked him if he was in a hurry and wanted to go first. The teller said she couldn't take him because my account was pulled up on her computer. After walking away for another 2-3 minutes she finally comes back with paperwork for my closed account. The whole interaction took more than 20 minutes. Without her coffee break it would easily have been 5. Go bank elsewhere folks.

At Bethesda Hampden Lane branch the bank tellers costumer service is the worst that we experienced in our life ( my husband and I). First-all they treat you like you are requesting a favor from them . They never wellcome the clients , they make you feel inadequate ...horrible experience . The Notary there treat you like worstless . Not respect to clients.

First time stopping by at this location (visiting from out of town). Ryan was extremely courteous and super helpful. He took time to make sure everything was handled thoroughly and professionally. Would highly recommend asking for his assistance!

Every time I am at this bank I've been treated extremely rude by the majority of the tellers Who do not want to do their job but rather tell me how I should do my banking. They think they have the right to talk to me anyway and anyhow they see fit while the manager sits back and listens to it happen. She doesn't seem to care at all that the tellers are talking to the customers this way she seems to think it's OK for them to be rude to the customers. It got so bad one time I had to speak up to the teller behind the counter who was talking to me very poorly and let her know that she's been very rude. The manager heard the whole thing and said nothing To the teller of how she was treating me. I am not a fan of this location if I have to drive a little farther I most certainly will. I hope this branch changes their ways I used to like going here.

Came in to withdraw money from the bank since their ATM was down, I was the only customer they had and instead the teller and manager decided to process some paperwork instead of helping me. It's basic customer service to help with a 1 minute withdraw over a 10 minute process, but then again this is M&T's customer service model.

I had an appointment with the branch manager to open an account scheduled for 11:00 I arrived on time and watched him talk on his phone in his glass enclosed office for 15 minutes, after which time I decided I did not want to open an account at a bank that had so little regard for its customers. Instead, I went to TD Bank on Old Georgetown Road where I was treated like a queen. Nick, the manager of M&T could use some customer service training from the people at TD Bank.

Don't come here if you have anything else to do that day. I have visited this branch probably five times during my lunch break for extremely basic transactions. It is very clear that the teller views customers as an annoyance, rather than the reason why she is there. I also have an account at the PNC a block down the road, and the difference in my experience as a customer is night and day. I have had much better experience with the other M&T in Bethesda--farther away, but still a faster ordeal.
