Terrible customer service-- unfriendly, rude, and random people (not employees) walking in and out of backroom. Five staff standing around with one register open and long line, ignored requests to open another. Excellent example of why my money ends up in Crofton or Annapolis. Ugh.

The store needs to update the hours listed on their website. It states the store opens at 9am and the hours listed on the door state the store opens at 10am. I went to the store and it was closed. Definitely a waste of time and gas.

Every time I come here, the team that works there is always super polite, professional, helpful, and friendly. I like to see young people of color providing good service and this place does not disappoint. They are good with sales having me spend money. A sale of $12.95 candle ends up costing me $100+ dollars bc they are very showing me different products... : - )

No personality and no ethics at the Bowie location. FYI, for all who’s interested there’s a new Bath and Bodyworks store that just opened in Woodmore and it is a bigger store. The store is located across the street from Wegmans grocery store. Enjoy!!!

It was 11:45 and still not open. A dozen people waiting outside. Called and was told another worker was on her way. They would be open then. She would not open alone unless another employee came in. But if she didn't come she would let people in. I asked what the estimated wait time was and she said "I don't know" Bad management. Just close if understaffed. Don't lie on open times and make people wait.

Stopped by to do a simple exchange of the exact same item but in a different scent. I was told that I would have to pay the difference in price because my initial purchase was on sale. I've worked in retail before and know that you don't lose the sale price over an exchange. Then I was told that they don't take back candles that have been burned. If you don't light the candles, then you don't know what kind of scent they give off or how good the throw is. I've never had these problems before. Went to a different location and didn't encounter any problems with my exchange. Needless to say I will not be returning to this location.

Manager very rude. I tried to exchange a 3 wick candle to the store in Greenbelt, Maryland, in January 2023. The candle no longer had a scent and it had burned three quarters of the way. I wanted to exchange it for another candle, since I had not purchased this candle on sale and had my receipt.I was told that they only exchanged candles that were “Gently Use” how do you gently used a candle?Managers have changed over the years and customer service is not service, it’s a chore for the customer to be service.

Shytshow. I just wanted to cancel my pick up order over the phone because they canceled the candle I wanted....why was I on hold for 15 minutes ? Just ask my name and order number and press cancel. I work in retail too. It's not hard. She just didn't "feel like it". I'm nothing but nice I don't understand why I couldn't get the help I needed. I am not driving an hour for a room spray.

The entire staff on Saturday December 17th, 2022 were extremely rude and need to be fired immediately. As a frequent shopper at this particular location, I was extremely shocked and disgusted by the intentional rudeness and lack of customer service provided by the entire staff. No one greeted me when I walked in nor did anyone ask if i needed any type of assistance. Once I came to the register, no one called for me to come nor did they speak once I walked up to the register. I also noticed that a customer next to me had asked if the cashier could wrap his SIX candles that she just stacked in a bag carelessly, and the cashier rudely asked him what and how did he want her to wrap “it”? I thought it was standard procedure and common decency to wrap fragile items such as candles. I couldn’t believe the entire staff behavior and if you know you aren’t a friendly person or easily agitated, then maybe you shouldn’t work in customer service. You all should really think about the type of people you decide to hire because it can have a negative effect on your business. Everyone needs proper training, etiquette and customer service. Y’all are too grown to be so disrespectful to customers who are nothing but kind and supportive.

I went to three bath and body works today. The one in Bowie was fine. They were helpful. In Rivertowne , friendly but I brought 2 items on line to pick up. The bag had one but no one said anything. When I asked they said it "should" be credited back to my account. Lastly at the Harbor, it was extremely crowded but staff were still nice. I met Joe and Jay. I received my bag and again one item was missing. I told the guy who said he put my bag together and he reached right behind himself at the counter and gave me the missing item. He said "here it is. I thought I had two because I want one for myself ". Make sure you all check your bags and I may not order on line again at this location. And I think I'll pay with cash

The place is neat and clean. There are plenty staff to assist, however, only one gentleman that was engaging and eager to serve; the rest were merely transactional.I had placed 2 orders late on a Thursday night and went to pick them up around 11:15 am on Monday only to be told my order was cancelled because I didn't pick it up in 4 days. I was baffled and checked my email and sure enough, I received an email that day at 10:30am. So, I asked them to check to see if the order was still packed and was told no because it's cancelled in the system; two reps did this, a manager and a rep. The manager stated that I could go pick out the items and they'd honor the price, so I did just that. It took me about 7 min to get all the items. I proceeded to stand in line only to get to the counter and the same rep had my order that was cancelled. Now, I'm thinking, you've got to be kidding me; for 1) I asked if they could do that in the beginning then I'm thinking, couldn't someone have proceeded to let me know this while I'm collecting the same items in the store? Like, how awesome would that have been to be proactive and save you and your customer some time. Anyway, it took some time to re-ring the entire order and add an additional order. Again, reps are merely transactional not proactive. Also, while in the store, I asked another floor rep if they had a particular scented candle that I like. She was confused and stated she want aware of that blend. So I start looking around more, then a gentleman came to me and asked if he could help me find something. He immediately knew the scent I was referring too and checked around. When he didn't see it, he offered me a substitute-like blend and told me the blend I wanted was seasonal and try back in a few months. Now that'sgreat customer service. So, I thanked him for doing his job well. The USA needs a shift in how we serve others and be accountable to the job we agreed to do.
