Prices are universally lower than Safeway on fairwood parkway and the shoppers off of Annapolis road for the West on fairwood parkway. Usually well stocked for the various items I purchased there. My only complaint is the lettuce on the salad bar almost always look like it's about a day from being thrown away out of your refrigerator. Occasionally it's fresh, when I have gone there late afternoon or early evening before they put stuff away. But even a few times I've been there before noon, the chopped lettuce still looks a little brown on the stem part and after it's been in your refrigerator by 3 days it's getting rotten. Surprisingly, the mixed greens tend to be fresher than the lettuce the one I buy both very fresh lettuce and mixed greens at Costco, it's always the mixed greens that gets rotten before the lettuce.

This pharmacy is horrible my medicine comes up short in count every time I get a refill and the manufacturer changes with out notice and it really needs to be reported to Maryland board of pharmacy

HORRIBLE SERVICE! FIRST THE SECURITY LADY ACCUSED MY OF STEALING ITEMS THAT I WAS TRYING TO PURCHASE SECOND ONCE I ASKED TO PAY SHE DUMPED ALL MY GROCERIES AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN.

Shopping here is just sad I'm officially looking for a different grocery store I grew up with Giant in Md but I'm tired of giving my money to a place that doesn't want to help me. Getting help in the deli is hit or miss. The employees are so rude I'm just done. I don't know what happened to this company but it's definitely on its way out . Goodbye Giant

New management has ruined this particular location.I spent 30+ years in a retail management career and this store can be the poster example of how not to run it!Inventory control is horrible trying to find every day items and the pandemic and supply chain excuses are over.Evidently they are experiencing a bunch of theft hiring a security guard and NOW in a backwards attempt to curb it they closed the main entrance and make customers enter at the produce section???During the pandemic, that section was closed since it is not as popular. So now when the elderly come in for a Rx they have to walk across the whole store, not very smart! I guess I will have to drive the extra miles to use the Giant in Crofton...

I've lived in Bowie 10 years and continue to return to this Giant. The staff is always lovely, helpful and cheerful. I appreciate their prices and selection even with two higher end grocery stores nearby. Also appreciate all they have done to keep things moving throughout the pandemic.

T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E....prior to Covid this store begin slacking and then the pandemic hit and every excuse they made was forgiven, we're still in a pandemic and it's worse than ever. They are ordering less items of all types and some items that were popular are not ordered at all! They lock up the soap so you have to go to an employee for them to take it out of the plastic box, and overall the customer service is lacking. I continue to shop here because it's close to my home BUT I think I've had enough. We're fortunate to have several grocery stores and targets near us so I may officially be done. I hate to say it but this stores management has sucked for a while and I'm done.

Terrible store. ALWAYS a long line, and they have yet again lost my discount number. So it's up to me to stand in yet another line for customer service to get another one? No. I'll just stop shopping there.

This review pertains to the Giant Pharmacy at this location, and specifically, to their Covid vaccination program. Giant Pharmacies in MD have started to give vaccinations, and you begin the process by trying to make an appointment online. That was the hardest part. The online system is overwhelmed and appointments are scarce. However, I was lucky enough to obtain an appointment at this Giant location. They were extremely organized and professional. There is a greeter at the door to give directions. You check in first at the pharmacy where they photocopy your ID and medical insurance cards. Then you are sent to a station where they review the informed consent form you completed online the day before your appt. You sign and initial. They send you upstairs to the mezzanine where you check in with the nurse. A registered pharmacist administers the injections. They make the second appt before you leave. The process went very smoothly and there were not a lot of people waiting, so the spacing felt safe and comfortable. This is a big store, which seems well equipped, so I will do some shopping there next time.

Not a good Giant at all. I was in Bowie so we stopped in to get a few things, the Pepsi we got was expired, they gave us the wrong Chicken Salad we ordered at the Deli and it's just not a good store. I won't be back at this location.

This is my grocery store. It's convenient in location and I shop there 3-4 times a week. The staff is very friendly. Though they sometimes do not have everything that I need, their selection is still big. It's an organized store and clean. Usually they follow through on not having long lines and are good at opening other registers when needed. It's never a long wait to check out, which is common with other stores. However, I have had problems buying meat from there. Once, I purchased $35 in veal cutlets and two days later (even before the "sell-by-date") it was all spoiled. I wasn't happy. Their steaks have been tough after light cooking as well. I just have to question the quality of the beef that they sell. The chicken and ground meats are good. Realizing nothing is perfect, I will always go back. I like being a familiar face there.
