The Backstage outlet far exceeds other Macy's Backstage locations that I have experienced. I was surprised to see the size and selection available. The prices are very affordable and the staff was very friendly. As expected, there were some boxes on the retail floor that were waiting to be unloaded and things in the wrong places which made the experience more like a Scavenger Hunt. However, it is very worth the trip!

Signs around the store inform you that items in the store are priced at $1.50 unless noted. I thought for sure there would be plenty of exceptions, no sir. Most of the store truly is that cheap! You can pick up stuff for virtually any occasion and not feel bad since it's not a Dollar store, it's Japanese.

Just walking around didn't expect to find some decent deals on clothes that I don't really need. I call this the TJ Maxx/Marshall's section of Macy's.

Made an online purchase to pick up at the Bowie Town Center location. Purchase is suppose to be ready for pickup within 2 hours so I figured I could pick it up on my way home from work. My charge card is authorized immediately. 5 hours later I call for an update (3 attempts to talk to somebody that will actually listen to my issue)and I'm told that online orders are behind but the order will be filled. 7 hours after placing my order I get a notification that the item is no longer available. That means the item wasn't pulled in a timely fashion and it sold out before my order was filled. Very disappointed with this location and Macy's customer service... not to mention I now have to go out on Christmas Eve and try to find this item.

Aggressive cashier who would NOT take no for an answer when I didn't want to sign up for their new program. I was told I should "give more". Wow. Now I am home and have tried for 30 minutes to get through to a manager. Either they hang up or I am on hold.. now...for 14 minutes and counting.
