I went to the Bowie Walmart yesterday morning about 9:00 a.m. I was pleasantly surprised!! I shop at Walmart both online and in store. The Bowie store was one of my least favorites. It was a running joke that this store was a "hit or miss." However, the shelves were stocked and organized. Store staff were available and working. It was clean. It was such a great experience, I actually did more shopping than I planned!! I wanted to do a happy dance. I was so excited that I wanted to share my delight with the manager, so I ask a staff person if I could speak with the manager (not explaining why). Well, the staff person took me to customer service and it turned into disappointment (this is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5). The staff person requested the customer service rep to call the manager for me and the young lady refused. The staff person asked several times and the young women's response was "you call him." Very unprofessional and all of this was done in front of me - the customer. I just walked away. But I still wanted to share the "job" well done on the other points.

The sporting goods department did an impressive job in giving me good service. Actually, twice- once when I bought a treadmill, and some months later when my son and I bought a bike. Both patient and knowledgeable. Helped in every way you could expect. I can't say the merchandise is the sort that will last twenty years, but there is a place in the world for inexpensive items that you need to try out to see if a hobby or machine is right for you. It is after you know that, that you may want to spend a lot on a high-end item at a specialty store. Until then, Wal-Mart is a sensible option.

I Was Just In Walmart & There Were 4 Cans Of Baby Fórmula That Had A Clearance Sticker On Them that said 1.00 I verified with the cashier at the jewelry counter that all 4 said $1.00 bc I was surprised and I was told they have to honor the price. I went to the cashier to check out. I was told they were regular price. 2 people walk up said they were the managers one of the tags said coach. Was an older male the other was a black female with braids! They said someone places the tags on there and I asked them what does that have to do with me. This was the price it said and they would NOT HONOR IT! I asked them what about Walmarts policy! They said that's not Walmarts Policy and laughed! Then they peeled the clearance stickers off! I left the store so upset bc that was the sticker on the can! ONLY REASON IM GIVING THEM ONE STAR IS BC I HAVE TOO

I don't have any complaints, Walmart always comes through in a clutch with my last minute needs. I will say for this location, I only go for small incidentals. The store overall is a bit cluttered and not the most organized. However, for what I need, I'm always in and out. I came last minute for some feminine products and nail clippers ..the online product locator does not always match the layout of the store so be mindful of that. As I'm looking for my nail clipper, I came across some Dr. teals products I never knew I needed...so again, no complaints from me Wallyworld! The self check out is a bit weird, as far as how to get there. It almost felt like I was leaving store with products in my hands but then I was able to find the self check out entrance.

This is an increasingly horrible Walmart. I had a return to make today at the bowie Crain highway Walmart when I was informed by the greeter (who didn't greet me by the way) who told me I could only return goods purchased at this particular store to this store. Universal shopping and returns is one of the hallmarks of Walmart but now it's no more, at least in the Bowie store. Oh well, more purchases for Amazon. This store's customer service is 0 zero....

This store has such poor customer service. I asked an associate to help me find something and they declined with any attitude saying they don't know what the store has. Upon checkout the associates told me I had to use self checkout because the registers close at 10 .... The time was 9:45 smh

I asked an associate to help me with getting a particular product they I wanted to buy. The associate told the store has it, but he was unable to reach it (offered no alternative). I decided to try to order it, being the associate wasn't helpful. Online said unavailable. So I called to store to see if they could accommodate me by holding it long enough for me to get in my car and drive there. That associate was so quick to tell me no, which better let's me know that this is the climate of this location - poor customer service/support

I haven't been to this location before. The parking lot and store was crowded. There were only two registers open so I used the self checkout. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this store.

My name is Meredith and I visited the Wal-Mart Vison Center to pick up my basketball goggles at store #1893 location in Bowie, MD. This has been one of the best shopping experiences I ever had. Rene and Crystal greeted me with a friendly smile, professionalism expertise and extremely prompt amazing service! They consulted and helped me with the purchase of my 1st ever pair of prescribed basketball goggles and ensured I have everything I needed to protect my eyes when I'm playing basketball. Rene and Crystals dedication to excellent customer service and professionalism reflects great credit upon themselves and the Walmart brand! My overall rating undoubtedly is 5 stars without hesitating. Rene and Crystal deserve the biggest raise and recognition for their friendly service, dynamic insight and expertise in optometry. Thanks Walmart for hiring these jewels of employees to represent your magnificent brand! :o)

I broke my glasses on Friday. I got up Saturday morning trying to scrounge and find someone who could fix my glasses or have my contact prescription which is hard to find. Ms. Crystal in Walmart Optical swapped out my lenses and took care of me in the clutch!

I want to give Roderick in the Pharmacy a huge shout out. He is the definition of excellent customer service. He was patient and kind and went above and beyond to get an insurance issue sorted out. Even with a line and other customers to serve, he never made me feel rushed or like I was taking up too much of his time. I saw him provide this same level of service to all of his customers.

Worst Walmart I've ever been to. The store shelves are always empty and it looks like crap inside. I've seen better organized Dollar Stores. The store manager should be fired or start taking pride in his/her work.

Honestly this place gets 1 star because they do a decent job keeping items in stock. Otherwise I'd give them a zero for customer service and management! They are the absolute worst. I shopped and after paying for my items through a cashier (who was actually courteous), I grabbed my bags to leave. Unfortunately they only had small bags and she couldn't put the small rice cooker in the bag. One of the men who was checking receipts for those ringing up their own purchases decides that he's going to move AWAY from the area he's working and ask me for my receipt. I asked why because he had NOT stopped ANYONE else leaving the store from a cashier supervised line. Mind you, my hands are full. This idiot said bc my box was NOT in a bag! To which I responded the cashier said they were out of anything except small bags and HE responded "I know!" WTH!!! Mind you I dropped the box bc there was no place for me to put anything down to find the receipt. I told him the box would be returned if the item was broken from the fall. He had the audacity to then say, and I need to see the receipt for the umbrellas WHICH WERE IN a Wal-Mart bag. Naturally I asked if he was trying to make me lose my composure in the store! Long story short I found the receipt and he didn't even LOOK AT IT IN MY HAND! After placing my items in the car, I called the store and asked for the manager. Best part yet, I was placed on hold for over 12 mins and no one returned to the phone. Just unacceptable service all around and makes me thankful for other options for my retail purchases.
