Do not rent at this facility, many units do not have floor to ceiling walls, leaving your belongings vulnerable to theft without evidence of tempering with your door/lock/hasp. I will give you the hint that because someone has discovered how this loophole works, Extra Spaces property and “theft” insurance will not cover your loss.
I showed up three times in two weeks, after my loss occurred, to find that one of the loading dock doors was locked into the open position before employees were even in the office while construction was being done on the roof. Absolutely anyone can access this facility off the street at times and just climb over and steal anything that can fit between the wall and the ceiling, which is up to almost 2 feet for some units. No internal cameras exist.
Rent here if you like to show up to your storage unit and have to figure out what’s been stolen.
EDIT: the number the business provided was the local number which produced no resolution or progress with them having little to no interest in hearing from me other than to say that they only told me to call to actually confirm I had filed the denied insurance claim. The business also stated in the denial of claim that no other party was subject to loss, but without them actually contacting every unit holder, they wouldn’t know that, especially with the high chance that there are units that have not been accessed in 12+ months.

This branch is the place my husband and I were treated like royalty. Darnelle, the manager was so polite, patient, and took time to explain how the process works (we never used a storage unit before). The price is not only fair, is great for what we have. Best company we choose. 10 stars!!!!

Access code didn’t work, have been stuck trouble shooting for 2 hours. Terrible bugs in the facility - wear jeans to make sure you don’t leave with bug bites.

I have a unit at the Brentwood location. I became a renter in year 2016, low price was great. However, 2022/2023 and I started noticing mice drops in my unit. I did a deep clean in Spring of 2023. Still today I still see mice droppings. I used to rent with Public Storage (NYC) for the same price , which was larger and no mice droppings . Also, my belongs were well protected (Public Storage). The low beginning price is not worth it because it will increase and your mice will damage your belongings.

Staff was very courteous as well as informative and very knowledgeable about the processes. But most of all the employee you have, Mr. Alonso, a very exceptional worker he went above and beyond when he didn’t have to, he served three customers, and when he got done he came back to check on me and notice that I was moving a couch by myself he took his time and he helped me move everything I needed to move and he didn’t have to do that. I’m very appreciative of that and this is a kind of customer service that you all are representing I’m gonna enjoy doing business with y’all.

Alonso made the whole process smooth and stress-free. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all my questions. The facility is spotless, well-organized, and easy to access. Booking online was simple, and Alonso made sure I had the right unit for my needs. Overall, a seamless experience—I’d definitely recommend this location.

My daughter is a college student and we needed a last minute storage plan when we moved her out in April 2025. I called the Bladensburg location and staff was very polite and efficient. They happen to be running a special which made it even better! Move out was even more efficient and Darnell was very helpful and nice. I will definitely use this location again if we need storage next summer!

The team members here is exceptional, providing me with hospitality that makes me feel like my stuff is at home. Unfortunately I docked one star due to some issues at the facilities such as the main garage door and ac being broken. Fixing these issues will easily make this facility five stars
