I remember family picnics, sponsored by Woodmen of the World, at Marshall Hall when it was an amusement park with great rides and a huge roller coaster. Believe President Clinton had it removed and claimed as an historic site. Once an alternative to Glen Echo Park, another amusement park the family visited in my early days...
